On average men under 50 make little use of healthcare; many (correctly) see Medicare expansion as likely to create yet another massive tax-funded entitlement. -- So, yeah, the left can run out all the Nazi-tatted "oystermen" it likes, but until it recognizes that its anti-growth, anti-carbon pro-government policies are a lot more attractive to New York City socialists than guys driving F150s, it will go nowhere."

---Lying is certainly what "progressives" do, but I have to admit I was a bit confused given the interviewer's failure to explain the distinction. A commenter provided a possible clarification:
"So he has an MD but he never completed a residency and never practiced medicine.
You can call him a doctor but no one should pretend this qualifies him to discuss health care issues."
It's probably best to simply say one holds a doctorate. Even though that makes him a doctor...by virtue of having completed the course to acquire that level of education...that lack of a completed residency seems significant. Seems akin to calling one's self a pilot without an hour of flight time.
