"Fundamentalist Christian" is another one of those terms used for the purpose of disparaging Christians who are conservative in both their faith and more so their politics. It's similar to "Christian Nationalist" or "Christian extremist". Attach those qualifiers to "Christian" and you can demonize those who oppose you as if they have no legit argument against your position...and more importantly, when you have none for your own.
To be fair, the term Fundamentalist (as applied to Christians) originated in a movement during the late 19th century that was a response to theological modernism, secularism, and evolution. The intent was to focus on the fundamentals of the Christian faith. By the actual definition, I see no problem with the label.
Unfortunately, the label has been co opted and turned into a pejorative term by those who follow the very things that the movement was intended to counter. That it has also been used to draw a connection between Christians and Muslms is just one example of how the term is misused.
Obviously, the list is intended as a tongue in cheek way to demonstrate the differences in scope of the various groups.
