It is absolutely amazing to see the ASPL go whole hog into supporting one of the most evil, harmful, anti progressive regimes on earth. Especially given their loathing of nuclear weapons. This wholesale betrayal of everything they claim to hold dear is both disgusting and hilarious at the same time. The feminists who support women being forced into Chador and being treated like chattel especially disgust me.

Yeah...progressives are a really stupid lot, aren't they? But as you suggested in an earlier post of yours, it's all about TDS. If Obama had done this, as he struck so many in the Middle East without Congressional approval, the progressives wouldn't bat an eye and actually would likely be supportive.
After church, we stop in our downtown area and have coffee (my wife, our daughter and her husband). Yesterday, after service, we did as well. And on the corner where the municipal buildings are, our town progressive morons were protesting the strike on Iran. It wasn't one of their biggest gatherings...really quite a pathetic showing, in fact. Maybe it was the heat. We could see them from where we sit with our coffees and my wife was a bit worried I might go over there and "have a chat", as I suggested I wanted to do. I was even more motivated when a woman we saw crossing the street as we were moving to our favorite spot, was soon seen blowing bubbles like a little kid. I really wanted to know how doing that will "end the war".
I think that it comes back to this notion that this sort of performative nonsense actually accomplishes something. People put Iranian flags on their profiles as if that actually is doing something, then they move on to what's trendy a couple of days later.
Some of it is ignorance, and some is stupidity. But how can a movement that claims to be committed to rights for women, gays, minorities, and which opposes religious bigotry blindly support a regime that embodies the worst positions on everything they claim to value.
In this case, it's probably a lot of TDS as well.

The LEFT hates morality and decency and will always fight for evil and lawlessness.
The S stands for social. I decided that adding the S might better include all liberals.
As a general rule we have seen a significant increase in the ASPL advocating, fighting, and promoting things that have historically been considered evil and lawless over the past few years. Generally, I'd agree with you.
Except, when it comes to Trump they are sticklers for the law. They even make laws up to charge him with.

I'll be honest, and acknowledge that I could never have imagined that the ASPL would sink to supporting this level of depravity. To support people and regimes that are the polar opposite of what they claim to believe is simply beyond belief. I naively thought that there would be a point where their support for their own country would prevent this. Clearly I was wrong about this.
