It is amazing to me that the most consistent critic if the lunatic fringe of the leftists (really mainstream leftists) is someone who is pretty far to the left himself. That folx like Dan can't call out or agree with the excesses is a symptom of how extreme the ASPL is.

He can't because he's another example of that extremism. Dan likes to use words like "reasonable" and "rational", yet he's neither. Plus he's really stupid.
Oh absolutely, Dan is all in on exactly the kind of things that Maher is pointing out. He has no choice because he can’t disagree with the narrative.
