USA Today fact checkers acknowledge that Kente cloth comes from a tribe that profited greatly from the slave trade. Of course this still doesn't mitigate the fact that this photo op was so unimportant that one of the participants couldn't stay off her phone.

There's a photo going around that purports to show Bernie Sanders being arrested for throwing eggs at black protesters in the 60's. Who knows if it's true, but it wouldn't be surprising.
