As a general rule, is it reasonable to conclude that the people you invite to significant family occasions are people you are either friends with, or have important relationships (business, political, etc) with?
That’s what I thought. I mean that it would be unusual to invite someone to a family wedding that you don’t like or someone who’s relationship you don’t value.
I understand that there might be exceptions for some family members that you don’t get along with, but can’t see inviting non family members who you don’t get along with.

So why the post?
There are some wedding pictures with some interesting people floating around.
Consider my curiosity piqued.
