We just saw ABC settle with Trump, and now this, but some idiots will still revere and venerate the MSM because they're clinging to an outdated memory of what the media used to be,

I think that's true that some are defending what no longer exists. But that's also compounded by the fact that the MSM is so one-sided and those who defend them defend their partisan attacks as just.
Oh Dan's not the only one who thinks that the MSM is still Murrow, Huntley, Brinkley and the rest. He's choosing to live in a fantasy world where the MSM operates under the same restrictions that they did back in the day. Despite evidence to the contrary he still clings to the belief that there is some magical integrity that the MSM still has. That world might exist a little more at a local level, as opposed to the national level, but for the most part the "who, what, where, when" reporting is pretty much an afterthought.
The national MSM is so blatantly one sided (and there's ample proof) that it's not even a discussion that sane people would have. Whether or not that can put their biases aside when reporting is another topic.
