If you're a person who regularly uses poll results to demonstrate the fact that your positions are correct, then it seems logical that you'd simply have to accept poll results that don't back you up with equal excitement.   Especially when those poll results come from media outlets that regularly show bias in support of the DFL (in this case).

The fact that the leftists sources...the most trusted news outlets in America...the gold standard of news...God's own gift of news media to us...the fact that they are seeing these trends is a problem the Dems will work tirelessly to alter in a manner which doesn't require actual heavy lifting and concessions to truth and facts.

Polls are indeed to be taken with a grain of less processed sea salt. How they're worded is incredibly important, and the first link's polling includes the line about the percentage of Americans to who see Russia as an enemy. I certainly have always maintained that they are, especially since they've had KGB holdovers running their country. I don't think they're the enemy they once were, but that doesn't mean they're not an enemy. I don't think they're as dangerous as China, but that also doesn't mean they're not an enemy. I don't think it's impossible to have some degree of relations, even with a Putin still in charge, but that doesn't mean they're not an enemy. Thus, Russia is still an enemy.

Polls are definitely something that have a lot of variables. The problem is when people hold out polls as the be all and end all when the polls agree with them, and dismiss them when they don't.

As far as Russia, it's amusing to watch people bitch about Putin while ignoring the fact that FDR and company absolutely loved Stalin.

Obviously it is possible to have some level of diplomatic relationship with countries that are enemies to some degree.
