ASPL/DFL Shennagins (I know this is a big dump for one day, but I had to get through almost everything)

Trump is merely using the same laws, tactics, and procedures used by every administration except Biden back as far as Clinton.  They deported and shot more as well.

The AWFULs.

According the the Hennepin County Sherriff's dept, this is how the ASPL does "peaceful protest".

"Hennepin County Sheriff's Office deputies and members of multiple assisting agencies have given dispersal orders for an unlawful protest at the Whipple Building. Deputies have been on the ground for the last few hours and made several attempts to ask protesters to unblock an access road. The group was clear that they will not unblock the road. Deputies have explained what will happen if they do not comply with the lawful orders. We've given them time to move. There have been ice chunks thrown at multiple vehicles, breaking windows. Deputies have given three dispersal orders for an unlawful protest. Individuals who do not comply with orders and those who continue unlawful behavior have been and will continue to be arrested. Please avoid the area."

If you are someone who casually throws around terms like fascist and Nazi to describe anything happening in America, you are not a serious person and have very little understanding of history. You are living in a imaginary state of borrowed victimhood and don't realize how blessed you are if you think anything you're exposed to is even remotely close to fascist. I think it's completely warranted to call out bad government and criticize abuse of power, but by using such language you are being deeply offensive to people who have lived through, escaped from, or are descendants of actual victims of fascism. And if you don't care about that, then at least realize you're making yourself look completely hysterical and unserious about whatever cause you're trying to push."

If getting more jail time for a FB post than rape, being forced by the government to  buy something you may not want or take a shot you may not want, government forcing private entities to censor speech, or lack of election security isn't sounding "fascist" maybe the problem is you.

"The most basic category error the left makes - repeatedly - on every police shooting is to characterize the shooting as an unjust "punishment" for the conduct of the person shot. They then argue that said person didn't "deserve" to be "executed," and so clearly the police officer is in the wrong. That's not what it's about. It's NEVER what's it's about. Punishment is administered through the judicial system. The right of a law enforcement officer to use deadly force in self-defense or defense of others is about the rights of the officer, his colleagues, and nearby civilians as human beings whose lives have value, too. They have a right to respond to the imminent threat of death or serious bodily harm with deadly force. And in exercising that right, they are not judged from the perspective of an omniscient superhuman, with perfect knowledge of everything happening in that moment; they are held to the standard of the reasonable person perceiving what they can from that viewpoint. In the words of William Munny, deserve's got nothing to do with it."

Should we believe data, or Ilhan Omar. It's not like Omar has anything to gain personally by continuing Somali (specifically her tribe) immigration. Speaking of Omar, doesn't it seem a bit hypocritical for a Muslim woman to make millions owning a winery?

A Question. Or A Slippery Slope.

 https://x.com/arifleischer/status/2017232650281320665?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

"Next time there is a Democrat President, cities and counties should declare themselves sanctuaries and refuse to comply with EPA regulations. Don’t abide by limits, mandatory standards, and lengthy reviews that cities and counties deem unreasonable. Rural counties especially don’t need to abide by EPA rules. Isn’t that how this works?"

"If cities and states can declare themselves “sanctuaries” and refuse to comply with Federal law, why can’t individuals do the same to cities and states? Why can’t individuals in MN declare themselves sanctuary citizens and refuse to pay taxes? Or obey laws they disagree with? Refuse to pay for the military? Or fill out a tax form? What would Governor Walz and Mayor Frey do if citizens did to them as they’re doing to the Federal government. They’d go after these individuals, just like the Federal government is and should go after MN leaders until they follow the law. There is no such thing a a sanctuary from the law. Everyone needs to obey the law or work within the system to change the law. Sanctuaries are slippery slopes."

What exactly is the threshold to declare a "sanctuary" and exempt that "sanctuary from federal law?  Can I go buy 40 acres out in the middle of nowhere, declare it a "sanctuary" and ignore building codes, environmental law, property tax, and zoning laws? If not, why not? What magically makes cities, states, or counties able to exempt themselves from laws they don't like?

Les Miserables

I heard someone say that they had gotten their sense of social justice from seeing the musical Les Miserables.   I'll admit that it is one of my favorite musicals, and that I love the music.  But, I'm not sure that it's the best place to form opinions on social justice.

First, Les Miserables seems to be less of an endorsement of the French Revolution than is story examining the differences between law and grace.  It's set in the midst of the French Revolution, but certainly not a deep dive into the history of the revolution.  For those who don't know, the French Revolution brought a reign of bloody terror to France and in incredibly repressive "government", which (if I'm not mistaken) laid the groundwork for Napoleon who was also not the most liberal of emperors).  A notable intellectual foundation for the French Revolution was an atheistic, nihilistic, belief that Reason was sufficient to build a better government.

Second, one of the primary themes of the book and musical is the tension between law and grace.  I don't necessarily want to have that debate here, and personally think that they are linked, the primary plot is that Javert is persecuting Jean Valjean because he believes that it is impossible for a thief to ever find redemption.   We do see that grace does end up "winning" as Javert's inability to imagine a world without a hard, remorseless law leads him to suicide and Valjean dies knowing that his daughter is safe and happy and that he'll be with those he loves.

So, the question for today is whether or not it makes sense to take a heavily sanitized and romanticized musical version of one of a horrific historical event as the basis for your views on how best to achieve social justice in 2026.  We've certainly seen the left wing folx build plenty of barricades over the last 15 years, I guess I'd maybe take a look at how that worked for them.

I Made It Out

Two trips into South MPLS yesterday and in both cases I made it out unscathed.  While I was scared of all of the people walking around in masks, and of the occasional SUV, the overall vibe of the area was...

Normal people, going about their days, in normal ways.

The potential client I met with (African American woman) was friendly, helpful, and interested in working with me.  The friend who lives there said they'd seen nothing (beyond one SUV with ICE agents who stopped and were harassed by the neighbors for sitting in their vehicle).

I'm not suggesting that nothing has happened here, but the narrative that the MSM is putting out is not an accurate representation of the reality.   I can't help but wonder why the MSM would want to present the area as a war zone (hell Dan thinks he's fighting a war), when it's simply not the case.

FWIW, I spent a few hours in South MPLS at two different times of day yesterday, and covered a lot of territory including the area where the Pretti shooting happened.

On a related note, I know a bunch of people who are actively engaged in donating, collecting, and delivering food the those who don't "feel safe" venturing out.   On the one hand, I applaud them for putting their efforts into positive, helpful activities rather than protest or riot.  On the other hand, if they're delivering food to illegal aliens they seem to be opening themselves up to aiding and abetting.  What I really wonder is how many of them are prepared to face the potential consequences of actually aiding and abetting.   If they are, then I applaud them for being willing to suffer for their convictions.  Right or wrong, the impulse to help like this is more commendable than the impulse to interfere or riot.

This guy is probably pretty close to exactly right.  The ASPL doesn’t want humane, nonviolent deportations.  They want zero deportations.   We have thousands of humane/non violent deportations happening daily but all the ASPL whine about are a few that go wrong (ignoring why).    They want to ignore the millions of humane/non violent deportations under P-BO, because that doesn’t fit the narrative.

Eliminate The Threat

Dan, is his ignorance, has jumped on the fact that there were "10 shots" fired in the melee that resulted in Pretti's death.

First, I haven't seen evidence regarding the discharge of Pretti's "military grade" gun.  With the known problems with the P320 is is foolish to discount the possibility that at least one of the shots came from Pretti's "military grade" gun.

Second, one of the key aspects of any self defense training is that once you make the decision that firing your gun is necessary, you keep firing until the threat is eliminated.   Unfortunately there isn't some magic number of shots necessary to accomplish the goal of eliminating the threat.  The training is to keep pulling the trigger until there is no more threat, or until your slide locks open.

Third, in the confusion of the melee compounded by the tactics of the "protesters" intended to disorient the LE,  and the fact that there were multiple officers involved, it is not unrealistic to believe that each officer fired enough to eliminate the threat without knowing that another officer was duplicating those efforts.

It's easy to sit back and second guess those who have to make a life or death decision in a fraction of a second, in a situation filled with intentional disorientation beyond the immediate confrontation.

To be clear, this is not a defense of the number of shots so much as pointing out the obvious for the ignorant.   We don't have enough information to jump to these emotion driven conclusions and to start the inflammatory rhetoric.   We certainly don't have the ability to enter the minds of the officers and perfectly analyze how they perceived the situation.

Can We Agree?

Can we agree on a couple of things around the immigration issue?

Can we agree that those who immigrate to the US by any means other then the prescribed legal process have committed a violation of US law?

Can we agree than those who violate US law should face some degree of consequence?

Can we agree that those who violate US law should not be treated more preferentially than those who do not?

Can we agree that anyone who commits more than X (I believe that we all agreed on one a while back) felonies should be incarcerated for a lengthy period, and that any additional violent felonies after incarceration should result in an even more extended incarceration?

Can we agree that those who entered the US in violation of US law, and who have committed at least one violent felony (or have any conviction more serious than a minor traffic violation), should be deported?

Can we agree that an illegal alien who had been involved in two drunk driving accidents (without having a valid driver's license), who killed an mother and severely injured two others, who had a legal detainer order the day after the crash, was arrested for vehicular homocide, should have been turned over to ICE instead of being released onto the streets of MPLS?

Insurrection, Maybe Not. A Call For Vigilantes, Yeah.

"If you have a neighbor or a loved one who has joined ICE, it's time to either get them out or turn them in.
Let's put names to these masked oppressors. Law Enforcement Officers (unless they're undercover) can NOT be anonymous.
If you're anonymous, you're not part of defending our communities. You're a part of a secret police force working for the bad guys."

Well, this sounds like a call for vigilantes to step up and take matters into their own hands.

It also sounds like someone who  isn't paying attention the the masked "protesters" all over the news, nor to the ANTIFA types, or who only wants to hold one side accountable.

Rights Or Responsibilities

At some point I will be posting additional information being released about the recent shooting in MPLS, but I wanted to deal with a related issue first and separately.

Much has been made of the fact that Pretti held a carry permit and was legally allowed to carry concealed in MN.  While I have no first hand knowledge of this, I am accepting it as True.  Where this has become a problem is that it's being seized on by people who vehemently oppose the very notion of people being legally allowed to carry a gun, and by those who would prefer that the 2A not exist and that all guns be confiscated in an attempt to prove a point.   I'll address this from two perspectives.

1.   The 2A is an "inalienable right" guaranteed in the constitution, and affirmed multiple times by SCOTUS.  It is the law of the land.  So I 100% agree that Pretti had an absolute 2A right to own a firearm (in this case a literal "military grade" firearm, with a multiple "high capacity magazines"),  I also recognize that the right to own a gun comes with responsibilities.   I would humbly suggest that carrying a gun when interfering with federal law enforcement probably isn't the most responsible thing to do.

2.  In MN there is a fairly involved process to go through before being granted a permit to carry.  As a part of the required class work, an inordinate amount of time is spent on three things.  First, the requirement to have both ID and your permit card on your person when carrying a gun.  Second, how to interact with law enforcement if you are carrying a legally concealed gun on your person or in your car.   They spend a lot of time on this one, I thought it was excessive but I may have been wrong.  Third, the responsibility that comes with choosing to carry and the consequences that may be involved if you do make that choice.   In short, the class was much less about the right/privilege of  owning/carrying a gun and much more about the responsibilities that one shoulders of one chooses to do so.  The simple reality of carrying a gun in public is that you are making a positive choice (and jumping through hoops to do so) that could result in you shooting and wounding or killing another human.  This is not something to be engaged in lightly, although many do.   Carrying a concealed weapon is an acceptance of being held to a higher standard of conduct, and increased responsibility over those who choose not to.  One final part of the process involves the choice of what gun one wants to carry.  I'd argue that choosing to carry a gun with a well known history of problems with accidental discharge into a confrontation with law enforcement was simply one more poor choice in this scenario.

On a related note, the local rabble rousers  here in MSP spent a couple of weeks flooding social media with "How To" graphics regarding interacting with ICE or other law enforcement.   One salient feature was the admonition to avoid actually interfering with law enforcement.

So what we end up with as we evaluate the Pretti situation (regardless of the additional information that is coming out) is the realization that Pretti chose to ignore what he learned in his carry class, and to ignore the advice of the protest experts.   Clearly, his choices to ignore what he'd been taught had horrible consequences.

Finally, I find it hilarious that the anti-gun ASPL has set aside it's opposition to civilians owning "military grade" weapons, to "high capacity" magazines, to concealed carry, to guns not intended for "hunting", and for gun ownership itself in order to beatify this guy who went against all of those deeply held convictions.  Just because it helps them score some temporary political points.   The colossal irony of a bunch of people who fought to deny people like Pretti the ability to carry an gun, defending the role his choice to do so (and to ignore his training) is lost on those who should be most aware of it.   That Pretti will, at some point, be used as a poster boy to end carry or gun ownership seems to be a given.

Real Journalism?

 https://x.com/c_3c_3/status/2015942763091562889?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

This raises an excellent question.  If the MSM ("real journalists") are supposed to accurately and truthfully report the facts, how in the world can the digital manipulation of images be justified?   Especially if the manipulation causes a change in perception?

Not Wrong

False Narrative

Speaking of false narratives being repeated without any fact checking, this one is good.

Frey keeps whining about how outnumbered the MPD is by federal LE.   While this is True (although mostly the fault of Frey and Walz), the reality is that local and state LEO (by local I'm referring to only a few of the first ring suburbs, and the two urban counties) are NOT outnumbered by ICE.   Using publicly available numbers for MPLS, STP, Hennepin county, Ramsey county, MN State Patrol, and THREE of  FIFTEEN first ring suburbs gets to parity with the @3000 Ice officers.  I'm not including the MANG or the other TWELVE first ring suburbs, nor that over ONE HUNDRED additional subrubs, nor the rest of the seven country metro.  In short, this "outnumbered" narrative being pushed by Walz, Frey, and the media is simply false on at least two levels.

Mark 1, 2, & 3

Mark is an interesting Gospel.  There seems to be general agreement that it was the first Gospel written, and the the subsequent Gospels drew from it.  So, what does Mark tell us about Jesus' early ministry?

John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins."

"And a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”"

"The Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness.  And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him."

"Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God,  and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”"

"And Jesus said to them, Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men."

"And they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath he entered the synagogue and was teaching. And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes."

"And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.”  But Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out of him! And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him.  And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.” And at once his fame spread everywhere throughout all the surrounding region of Galilee."

"And immediately he left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.  Now Simon's mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, and immediately they told him about her. And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them.

That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. And the whole city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him."

"And he said to them, Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.  And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons."

"And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, I will; be clean.  And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean. And Jesus[ sternly charged him and sent him away at once,  and said to him, See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a proof to them.

"And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, Son, your sins are forgiven.  Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts,  “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”  And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, Why do you question these things in your hearts?  Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’?  But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins—he said to the paralytic— 11 I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home. And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

" And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”  And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”"

"And he said to them, Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God, in the time of[ biathar the high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those who were with him?  And he said to them, The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”"

"And they watched Jesus, to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse him. And he said to the man with the withered hand, Come here.  And he said to them, Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill? But they were silent. And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, Stretch out your hand. He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. The Pharisees went out and immediately held counsel with the Herodians against him, how to destroy him."

"And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”  And he strictly ordered them not to make him known."

"And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach 15 and have authority to cast out demons. "

"And he called them to him and said to them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?  If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.  And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.  And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. But no one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house."

Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin  for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”"

"And he answered them, Who are my mother and my brothers?  And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, Here are my mother and my brothers!  For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”"

Bits of Tid

 https://x.com/defiantls/status/2014108243363066100?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

This short video is all anyone needs to validate the increasingly large amount of DATA that shows that  the AWFULs are literally mentally ill.

 https://x.com/larryelder/status/2014243859812044968?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

Exhibit #2 to demonstrate the craziness of the AWFULs and their black counterparts.   That not a single person on the show questioned or fact checked this absurd and inflammatory claim would be malpractice if there were any ethical or legal guidelines for a show like this.

 https://x.com/ericldaugh/status/2014054937110458459?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMY

Tone deaf, hypocritical, double standard, stupidity, brainwashed, and moronic are just a few of the adjectives to describe this idiot who somehow managed to get elected.

 https://x.com/redsteeze/status/2014148699954319817?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

Nekima is quite simply a lying  sack of excrement.     CNN needs to change their name because upholding any journalistic standards of Truth or accuracy have gone out the window.

 https://x.com/marionawfal/status/2014144869329961107?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

This story just keeps getting better and better.  I hope that there is a way to claw back the $200,000 that they grifted.

Journalism, My Ass

https://x.com/bubblebathgirl/status/2014137248103514450?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

Who is more credible?   Someone like Dan, or this guy?

 https://x.com/libornormal/status/2014079992318009748?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

This facade that Lemon is a "journalist" is getting  more and more ridiculous each passing day.   Those who continue to cling to the notion that the MSM is all a bunch of highly principled, "real" journalists probably need to seriously reconsider their narrative.

Sanctuary?

 https://x.com/dennyburk/status/2013676312351723730?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMY

"A Response to the Disruption of Our January 18 Worship Service Jesus is real. When we gather on Sunday mornings to worship him, we are gladly giving ourselves to what is most central and sacred in our life together. “We worship Jesus” stretches as the main banner of our church, alongside two other pursuits that flow from it: loving one another and seeking the good of the Twin Cities. On Sunday, January 18, a group of agitators jarringly disrupted our worship gathering. They accosted members of our congregation, frightened children, and created a scene marked by intimidation and threat. Such conduct is shameful, unlawful, and will not be tolerated. Invading a church service to disrupt the worship of Jesus — or any other act of worship — is protected by neither the Christian Scriptures nor the laws of this nation. We welcome respectful dialogue about present issues, and about how the realness of Jesus, as revealed in the Bible, provides the only final answers to the world’s most complex and intractable problems. Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, lived, died, and rose again for the rescue of all who put their faith in him. He offers a love that transcends cultures, borders, policies, and politics. As those who have been loved and rescued by him, we will not shrink from worshiping Jesus, nor will we stop “teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah” (Acts 5:42). Church buildings are meant to be places of peace and solace, where worshipers can hear and live out this message. We therefore call on local, state, and national leaders to protect this fundamental right. We are evaluating next steps with our legal counsel. – the Elders of Cities Church"

Clearly those in the progressive christian slice of the ASPL who support this, have given up their notion of a church being some kind of inviolable sanctuary when it is convenient for them.

Fortunately there is a federal statute under which these folx can be prosecuted because we know that STP, Ramsey County, and MN will not do a thing to them.

Research and DATA, Bad?

 https://x.com/rob_thabuilder/status/2013696568956690567?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

You'd think that those in the "trans" community and their supporters would be all in on scientific research to look at DATA to determine whether or not there is something in the actual brains of the "trans" that can held better diagnose and understand "dysphoria".   Yet, for some strange reason, the "trans" community and their shills don't seem to want the research to even begin.

I can't help but wonder why.

Scrutiny

Three stories that have gotten a lot of press recently that haven't held up under scrutiny.

 1.  Bathrobe guy.  The fact that he was harboring two sex offenders pretty much removes any sympathy that most people would have for him.

2.  Tear gas family.   The narrative was that this innocent family was driving home and was brutally tear gassed for no reason.  We now learn that the parents left their kids in the car and joined the rioting.

3.  The "disabled" woman.   Again, she wasn't some random person driving by, but actually was a professional agitator who was right in the middle of the action.

It is strange that so many of the ASPL narratives, (10,000 unarmed black men, "Hands up, don't shoot", Floyd wasn't high on fentanyl, BLM was just trying to help people, various "noose" reports, Smollett's scam, for a few examples) simply don't hold up to scrutiny.   Yet, despite this, the ASPL continue to repeat these discredited narratives as if they are True.

It's Magic

 https://x.com/elonmusk/status/2013645561442816185?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

So P-BO gives some guy an award for deporting 920,000 illegal aliens, and now the same guy is a "fascist" for deporting 600,000 illegal aliens now.

 https://x.com/wallstreetapes/status/2013355229035577790?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

This is also magic.  Why are almost all of the protesters white, liberal, women?  Why so, relaively few, POC?

 https://x.com/andrewkolvet/status/2013479787134885922?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

When the bastion of "real journalism" and left wing politics can acknowledge that the increase  in "The danger associated with deportations is mostly a result of blue state policies that prevent law enforcement from transferring criminal illegals to ICE custody, as a result ICE has to make "community arrests" which put citizens and legal immigrants at risk.", but lemmings like Dan continue to chant the mantra of the ignorant, it is truly a sad day for discourse in America.

 https://winteryknight.com/2026/01/20/new-poll-61-of-white-leftist-women-ages18-44-agree-with-obstructing-law-enforcement/

If I was to evaluate this post against what I see daily on my social media feed, I would say that the contention that this is primarily “affluent white liberal women,” or AWFLs, pegging them as the biggest internal threat to America… well-off women with pronouns in their bios and too much time on their hands. He described them as attention-seeking harpies who push extreme gender ideology, drag their kids to medicalized gender clinics, and parade them at sexualized drag shows labeled as “family-friendly.”is pretty much exactly what I see.   Of course there are a few beta men who are on the bandwagon, but the majority are pretty much exactly what he describes.

As usual, WK's piece is full of links, DATA, studies, and support.   I see no reason to post those here as they are readily available in his piece.

Compliance

It's one thing to co opt Jesus in an attempt to give your political activism a veneer of legitimacy, but to do so with such incredibly bad theology is a bridge too far.

I know the person who posted this idiocy very well, and know that they are not ignorant when it comes to studying Scripture.  Yet, they posted this without thinking much, or at all, about it's accuracy.

Even a cursory glance at the Passion narratives makes it clear that Jesus willingly submitted to both the Jewish and Roman authorities.  From His prayer in the garden, to his healing of the servant's ear, and His admonition to Peter against fighting, Jesus complied the entire way.  While Jesus' message was totally counter to both the Jewish and Roman worldviews, He was never the social and political revolutionary that progressive christians and the ASPL pretend He was.

In short, Jesus was the picture of compliance to the authorities.

Until He rose from the dead.

Yesterday @ellienorris.writer on Threads that said, “IDK who needs to hear this, but Jesus did not comply.”

And I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

Because that one sentence says a lot about power, obedience, and the kind of faith we’ve been sold versus the one Jesus actually lived.

Here are my thoughts.

#jesus

Taxes

This is an interesting take.  At first glance, it sounds like a pretty good proposal.  Get rid of the billions of dollars in fraud and waste that we keep hearing about, and cut or drastically lower income taxes for many seems like a good way to spur more economic growth.  I disagree with eliminating income taxes on the "poor and middle class" entirely.  I am convinced that people need to have some skin in the game when it comes to taxes and "benefits".   Personally, I would say that dropping the "middle class" tax rate to (say) a flat 10% and the "lower class" tax rate to (say) 5% would accomplish much of what this proposal claims without removing the skin in the game for people.

https://x.com/andercot/status/2012620443577102583?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

We could suspend all income taxes for people earning less than $100k and the economy would absolutely rip in terms of growth. We would only need to eliminate ~half of the fraud and waste of government spending to balance the resulting budget. But this would shatter the illusion that it's "middle class Americans tax dollars" that fund the state - its not. The middle class funds ~20% of income tax revenues. The vast majority of government services are paid for by the very wealthy, but this is hard to square with a political narrative that wants to seize the wealthy's assets to 'redistribute' it to the poor. But why not just stop taxing the poor and middle class altogether? The state would have us believe it is a better allocator of people's money than themselves, yet this has always been false. The state is a terrible allocator of capital, doesn't get bargains on any of its purchases. A middle class family giving 30-40% of its income to the government when this doesn't move the needle at all in terms of total government budget, but massively influences the quality of living for that family, is a crime by the state against its citizens.

Every additional dollar in the hands of that family would directly go to spending and saving, and like I said the economy would rip as a result. More than that, because that family is the best discriminator of value and prices for its own needs, the economy would grow in value *more* than just that dollar amount. The money multiplier effect. Instead, that 30-40% of a middle class family's income goes into government purchasing, where it is siphoned by fraud, waste, abuse, and even when spent, spent extremely poorly. California's budget has doubled in the last ten years while essentially all metrics of public services have declined. Dollars spent wastefully or fraudulently obtained without increasing the value of the economy drive inflation, fundamentally, and erode the net worth of those who have more cash than hard assets - i.e. the working poor and middle classes. If you want to help the working poor and middle class, just abolish all income taxes below $100k, target fraud and waste and financial abuse. This would grow the wealth of the nation far faster than any other means."

Justice. I Don't Think So

 https://x.com/wallstreetmav/status/2012944324577681552?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

Dan has a list of things that "fascists" do, and I've pointed out that virtually everything on his list is something that is currently more likely to be engaged in, or threatened, by the ASPL than by Trump.  In the UK we have been seeing people get convicted and jailed for social media posts with  harsher sentences than for violent crimes by immigrants.  Now we see Jefferies and others laying out plans to further weaponize the "justice system" against their political enemies when/if they ever get back in power.

P-BO started this by unleashing the IRS on "right wing" groups, Biden doubled down in his political prosecutions of Trump and "right wing" officials, now Jefferies says the quiet part out loud.  If you vote DFL, you are officially voting for the use of the "justice system" as a means to settle political scores.

Oh, and Buttigege is out campaigning to expand and pack SCOTUS as a way to ensure that this strategy succeeds.

That the ASPL is going to vote for this sort of brazen, anti democracy, agenda speaks volumes about who the fascists really are.

Maybe We Should Ban Anyone Named Omar From Office

 https://x.com/blueboxdave/status/2012921770542600485?s=51&t=cLq01Oy84YkmYPZ-URIMYw

The notion that Fateh, the guy who committed vote fraud in his bid for mayor of MPLS, can declare a "no go zone" just because he wants to tells us what a bullet the voters dodged.    The whole "no go zone" concept has been such a roaring success in Europe that we should absolutely import it to the US.

Frey is an idiot.  He has the power to shut all of this down quickly, but he chooses to stoke the fires rather than extinguish them.    Because once the ICE agents leave, they can get back to murder, car jacking, and all the normal things that make MPLS special.

If the goal was really to make things safer for regular citizens of MPLS, STP,Hennepin and Ramsey counties, and MN in general, then they'd cooperate with ICE and get these people out of town as quickly as possible.

Yeah, generally speaking, invading churches is something that the bad guys do.

Prayers. I hope I make it out unscathed. Thank you very much for your prayers as I venture into South Minneapolis. (updated)

It’s finally happening, I’m headed into the worst of it this morning. The epicenter of all of the fear and fascism. I hope I make it out unscathed. Thank you very much for your prayers as I venture into South Minneapolis.

Well, I made it out.   The biggest thing that I noticed was that S MPLS looked and felt exactly the same way it always does.  People walking along the sidewalks, with dogs and children.  Church was pretty much the same attendance as any other incredibly cold January Sunday.   The homeless folk outside the BK looked exactly the same way that they always do.  The POC that I encountered at various businesses seemed to lack the terror I'd been told to expect.

In short, maybe the media (MSM and social) just might be exaggerating the level of "terror" that is allegedly gripping S MPLS and underplaying the normalcy that really exists.

FYI, I spent Friday working in an environment where I interacted with many POC, and again, pretty much normal atmosphere as well.

I've been seeing a LOT of social media posts which are headed by some version of the person claiming to have first hand knowledge, which are then followed by a list of random claims from random/unidentified persons with absolutely zero way to confirm or disprove the claims.  (Much like this post)   Personally, I think that these posts do a disservice to everyone and are simply passing along second and third hand, unverified gossip as if it is absolute Truth.

Fortunately my post is as much a mockery of those posts (albeit actually an accurate representation of my morning) as anything.

I did see people struggling with ice though, but only because the city of MPLS does such a poor job of maintaining the streets and sidewalks.
