MPLS Police Chief

The MPLS police chief just quit after allegations of some sort of sexual misconduct, months after Frey renominated him with all sorts of glowing accolades about what a great guy he is.  Now the acting chief has been credibly accused of perjury in the Chauvin trial among other things.  How does she even hold her subordinate position with these accusations against her?

Just a thought.  How about choosing people for these jobs who have somewhat higher standards of behavior?

Yeah, it's crazy how badly MPLS manages to screw up such basic things as hiring a competent police chief who won't have sex with his employees or perjure themselves. It's a pretty low bar.

Of course for me it goes without saying that if anyone in Minneapolis law enforcement has engaged in credible instances of sexual predatory behavior, they should be fired and it should be investigated. If crimes are committed, they should be held accountable for the crimes. Would that the GOP would do that with their leaders.

Sorry, I aborted your stupid comment in haste. I should have left it as a demonstration of your foolishness and poor memory. My bad.

Well, if this administration was truly concerned about his behavior (which they've know about for quite some time), the child mayor probably shouldn't have renominated him for a second term and spoken so glowingly about him.

Of course it goes without saying that having the acting police chief and high ranking police official credibly accused of perjury should also be investigated as well, should it not? Perhaps she should be fired as well.

I appreciate your decision to quickly jump to "predatory behavior" with absolutely zero information on which to base your decision.

Finally, let's keep in mind that this whole situation happened under the stewardship of a mayor and city council that are incredibly progressive and haven't been able to hire a good police chief for years, and have presided over the MPD being at @70% of authorized patrol officers, and a current rash of car vandalism.

Lots to be proud of.

Of course it goes without saying that those accused of this conduct should be investigated and prosecuted before anything else.

Of course the DFL is proudly running the idiot in Maine with a Totenkopfverband tattoo on his chest and a slew of evidence of all sorts of disgusting behavior (some of which appears sexual in nature), but I don't hear a big outcry to get him off of the ticket.
