A MENTAL EXPERIMENT: If I Were a Political Party Trying to Keep Power by Any Means Necessary in a Constitutional Republic... How Would I Do It?

Grab some coffee. This is going to be a long one.

Let us play a little game. A thought experiment. Hypothetical, of course. If I were a political party in a constitutional republic and I wanted to maintain permanent power regardless of what the voters actually wanted... what would my playbook look like?

Funny thing about hypotheticals. Sometimes they stop being hypothetical.

STEP 1: MAKE VOTER ID ILLEGAL

I would scream from every rooftop that requiring an ID to vote is racist, sexist, and every other -ist I could conjure up. Never mind that you need an ID to buy cold medicine, board an airplane, open a bank account, pick up a prescription, buy alcohol, rent an apartment, or get a library card. Somehow, the ONE place an ID requirement becomes oppressive is the ballot box. I would call anyone who questions this a white supremacist, and I would get my friends in media to repeat it until it became gospel.

...Wait. Democrats have been doing EXACTLY this for years. HR 1 (the "For the People Act") would have effectively banned state voter ID laws nationwide. Huh.

STEP 2: FLOOD THE ZONE WITH MAIL-IN BALLOTS

I would push for universal mail-in voting because these ballots are astronomically easier to manipulate than in-person voting. Nursing homes, college campuses, apartment complexes where turnover is constant. I would fight signature verification requirements. I would fight ballot envelope transparency. I would ensure that chain of custody was as loose as a screen door on a submarine.

...Wait. In 2020, COVID was leveraged to push mass mail-in voting nationwide with relaxed verification standards. TIME Magazine literally published an article titled "The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election" bragging about a "well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information." Their words, not mine. They got states to change voting systems and laws and helped secure hundreds of millions in public and PRIVATE funding. They literally bragged about it.

STEP 3: GERRYMANDER LIKE MY POLITICAL LIFE DEPENDS ON IT

I would redraw district lines to pack my opponents into as few districts as possible while spreading my voters thin enough to win maximum seats. I would accuse the OTHER party of gerrymandering while I did it ten times worse.

...Wait. Maryland's 3rd Congressional District looked like a Rorschach test designed by someone having a seizure. Illinois Democrats drew maps so egregious that the state lost a congressional seat and they STILL came out ahead in representation. New York Democrats were caught so red-handed that their own courts threw out their maps.

STEP 4: RIG THE CENSUS

I would manipulate the census to overcount states I control and undercount states my opponent controls. Since congressional seats and federal funding are distributed based on census data, every inaccuracy shifts power.

...Wait. The 2020 Census (data collected under Trump, processed and finalized under Biden's Autopen) admitted it OVERCOUNTED populations in eight states and UNDERCOUNTED six. Florida and Texas, both Republican-leaning, were undercounted by hundreds of thousands. Meanwhile Minnesota and Rhode Island were overcounted enough to RETAIN congressional seats they should have lost. The Census Bureau even admitted the 2020 count produced the widest racial disparities in recorded Census history. The Bureau introduced "differential privacy" noise algorithms that distorted small-area population counts so badly it raised legal concerns under the Census Act (13 U.S.C. Sections 141 and 195), which require "actual Enumeration" and prohibit statistical sampling for apportionment. But sure, nothing to see here.

STEP 5: IMPORT MY VOTERS

I would flood immigrants into states and cities I control. I would declare these "sanctuary cities" so the federal government cannot remove them. I would fight any citizenship question on the census tooth and nail because the Constitution says "persons," not "citizens," are counted for apportionment. Every noncitizen in my sanctuary city counts toward MY congressional representation and MY Electoral College votes. I do not even need them to vote. I just need them COUNTED.

...Wait. California alone has an estimated 2.2 million undocumented immigrants. New York has over 700,000. Illinois over 400,000. These noncitizens are counted in the census, inflating these states' congressional seats and Electoral College votes. The Supreme Court in Department of Commerce v. New York (2019) blocked the citizenship question from the census. Democrats celebrated. And here is where it gets really clever. Democrats do not actually WANT citizenship for these populations, because once immigrants achieve citizenship, build businesses, and become self-sufficient, they tend to vote for economic freedom, family values, and limited government. Democrats need them dependent, not empowered. As someone once said, that is the antebellum South's business model with extra steps. "Who is going to pick the cotton?" Same energy, different century.

STEP 6: FIGHT EVERY AUDIT, EVERY RECOUNT, EVERY TRANSPARENCY MEASURE

I would resist any attempt to examine voting logs, ballot images, machine data, or chain of custody records after an election. I would call anyone who asks questions a "conspiracy theorist" and an "election denier." I would get the media to memory-hole any legitimate concerns. I would get social media to censor anyone who raised issues.

...Wait. Maricopa County, Arizona fought subpoenas from the state Senate for months before reluctantly turning over ballot data. Georgia's Fulton County had widely documented chain-of-custody issues with absentee ballots. When Texas tried to investigate voting irregularities, the DOJ sued them. TIME Magazine admitted that this "shadow campaign" successfully pressured social media companies to take a "harder line against disinformation," meaning they censored people asking questions about the election. Laura Quinn, a progressive operative, specifically concluded that "the more engagement something gets, the more the platforms boost it," so the strategy was to SUPPRESS discussion rather than engage with it. Their solution was to "pressure platforms to enforce their rules" by removing content. Not refuting it. Removing it.

STEP 7: EXTEND THE VOTING WINDOW AS LONG AS POSSIBLE

I would push for early voting windows of 30, 45, even 60 days. The longer the window, the more time I have to harvest ballots, the less impact any late-breaking news has, and the harder it becomes for my opponent to mount an effective counter-campaign.

...Wait. Multiple states now allow voting more than 45 days before Election Day. North Carolina allows absentee ballot requests to begin 60 days before the election. Some states allow ballot drop boxes with minimal monitoring. The longer the window, the more opportunities for... well, you get the picture.

STEP 8: CONTROL THE INFORMATION

I would infiltrate the press. I would get control of editorial positions. I would ensure that news coverage frames every issue in my favor. I would get tech companies to suppress information that hurts me and amplify information that helps me. I would call inconvenient truths "misinformation" and factual reporting "conspiracy theories."

...Wait. A 2020 analysis of U.S. journalists found 60% identify as Democrats or Democrat-leaning. Pew Research found 55% of journalists REJECT equal coverage for all sides. 77% of Americans perceive media organizations as biased. The FBI's "Arctic Frost" probe specifically targeted nearly 100 Republican groups and individuals. Facebook, Twitter, and Google all admitted to suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election, a story that 17% of Biden voters said would have changed their vote had they known about it.

And here is the fun part. On January 10, 1963, Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr. of Florida read into the CONGRESSIONAL RECORD a list of 45 Communist Goals for America, taken from Cleon Skousen's "The Naked Communist." Let me highlight a few that seem... relevant:

Goal 15: Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. STATUS: Partially achieved.

Goal 17: Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism. STATUS: Partially achieved. Liberal to conservative faculty ratios exceed 10:1 in elite colleges, and a 2024 FIRE survey found only 20% of faculty believe a conservative would fit well in their department.

Goal 20: Infiltrate the press. Get control of editorial writing and policymaking positions. STATUS: Partially achieved. See the stats above.

Goal 21: Gain control of key positions in radio, television, and motion pictures. STATUS: Partially achieved. Hollywood and entertainment media strongly reflect progressive values.

Goal 29: Discredit the U.S. Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, or out of step. STATUS: In progress. "Living Constitution" theory, anyone?

Goal 40: Discredit the family as an institution. STATUS: Achieved. Black two-parent households went from over 80% in the 1950s to fewer than 30% today, largely driven by welfare policies that incentivized single parenthood.

STEP 9: WEAPONIZE THE JUSTICE SYSTEM

I would use prosecutors, judges, and law enforcement to target my political opponents while protecting my allies. I would fund "progressive" district attorneys who refuse to prosecute criminals but enthusiastically pursue political enemies. I would use FISA courts, grand juries, and federal investigations as political weapons.

...Wait. George Soros funded over 75 "progressive" DA candidates between 2015 and 2022. San Francisco and Philadelphia saw homicide clearance rates drop below 40% after electing these DAs. Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan was ARRESTED by the FBI for directing a domestic battery defendant to escape through a back door to avoid ICE. A SITTING JUDGE helping criminals evade arrest. Meanwhile, Trump faced four separate indictments in an election year from prosecutors with documented Democratic affiliations. Coincidence, I am sure.

STEP 10: MAKE PEOPLE DEPENDENT

I would create as many government dependency programs as possible. I would make the welfare cliff so steep that getting a job means losing benefits worth more than the job pays. I would trap people in a cycle where they NEED my party to survive. I would call anyone who questions this system "heartless" or "cruel."

...Wait. A family on full benefits in many states receives the equivalent of $60,000-$80,000 in combined assistance. Meanwhile, an entry-level job might pay $30,000. Who in their right mind would take that job? You would literally be taking a pay cut to work. The system is not designed to help people escape poverty. It is designed to keep them voting for whoever promises the most handouts. That is not a safety net. That is a cage.

STEP 11: DESTROY THE OPPOSITION'S ABILITY TO ORGANIZE

I would use the IRS to target conservative nonprofits (Lois Lerner, anyone?). I would use the FBI to investigate Republican groups under pretextual operations like "Arctic Frost," which targeted nearly 100 GOP-affiliated organizations including Charlie Kirk's TPUSA. I would use tech companies to deplatform conservative voices. I would use banks to close accounts of political opponents. I would call it "protecting democracy."

STEP 12: REDEFINE LANGUAGE

I would change the meaning of words to suit my purposes. "Democracy" would mean "whatever I want." "Violence" would mean "speech I disagree with." "Equity" would mean "equal outcomes regardless of effort." "Justice" would mean "my team wins." "Fascism" would mean "anything that opposes my agenda." I would repeat these new definitions until people forgot the originals.

And here is the kicker, the thing that ties this whole hypothetical together: Quinn's Law Number 1 states that "Liberalism always generates the exact opposite of its stated intent." Every program designed to "help" creates more dependency. Every law designed to create "equity" creates more division. Every policy designed to promote "democracy" concentrates more power.

Quinn's Law Number 2: "If you want to know what liberals are up to, pay attention to what they accuse conservatives of doing." They accuse the right of "rigging elections" while implementing every strategy listed above. They accuse the right of "authoritarianism" while weaponizing every institution of government against political opponents. They accuse the right of "threatening democracy" while operating a constitutional republic like it is their personal franchise.

And Quinn's Law Number 25: "Liberals are great at giving away other people's money." $1.5 trillion in COVID ACA subsidies. $200 billion in taxpayer healthcare for noncitizens. $3 million for circumcisions in Zambia. $3.6 million for pastry cooking classes for male prostitutes in Haiti. $833,000 for transgender people in Nepal. $300,000 for a pride parade in Lutu. All from YOUR pocket.

This is not a hypothetical anymore, is it?

This is the "long march through the institutions" that Antonio Gramsci theorized and Rudi Dutschke popularized. Infiltrate education, media, law, government, and culture. Do not overthrow the system. Become the system. It is not a conspiracy theory when they wrote books about it, taught it in universities, and published victory laps in TIME Magazine.

I keep hearing people say "that could never happen here." My friends, it already has. The question is not whether these strategies exist. The evidence is public, documented, and in several cases BRAGGED ABOUT by the people who did it.

The real question is: what are you going to do about it?

But what do I know? I am only a science teacher who applies the scientific method to political claims and keeps finding that the "hypothetical" matches the observable data with uncomfortable precision."
