This is one more example of the essential hypocrisy of the ASPL. On the one hand thay misuse the term pedo to describe men who are sexually attracted to young women between the ages of 14-21 (all legal age of consent in various "civilized" countries. While on the other hand they are trying to normalize actual pedophilia (rape) as just one more "sexual orientation".

I don't disagree that pedophilia isn't a sexual orientation. But I disagree there is "sexual orientation" is a thing. It's a rationalization for immoral behavior, nothing more and nothing less.

Unfortunately the destruction of cultures by the sexually immoral is a thread that runs through history.
Art, I don’t disagree with your larger point, but by labeling it as such they put it on equal footing with every other “sexual orientation”, which means that they can justify protecting those who engage in it.
Well that's the whole idea about "orientation", isn't it? To pretend it's some form of natural behavior from a different spot on the imaginary spectrum. It's all crap.
In a sense they’re not wrong about that. Many orientations might be “natural” (murder for example), yet society frowns on acting on or normalizing this orientation.
I know I’m opening a can of worms, but I suspect that you get my point.
What’s the point of normalizing the orientation if not to normalize the resulting behavior?
I'm guessing your point has something to do with man's sin nature and his inclination to sin.
Whether you call it sin or orientation, I think it’s safe to presume that we are all inclined to certain things. Whether one’s predilections run toward sexual acts, violent acts, or others, doesn’t seem to matter.
Sins or not, moral or not, we all have preferences or orientations that drive our choices. Favorite color, car/truck, type of alcohol or none, type of woman or man we are attracted to, it all seems somewhat ingrained.
