"Quick question,
— genuine curiosity here. LGBTQ+ individuals make up roughly 7% of the U.S. population. Veterans make up about 6%. The difference? One group chose a lifestyle. The other signed a blank check to the United States government, payable with their lives. We give Veterans ONE day. November 11. There is only one of those per year — just like there is only one September 13, which, in case you did not know, is National Bald is Beautiful Day. Maybe THAT deserves a full month too. But I digress. An entire MONTH for a group you describe as neither exceptional nor mediocre — just people (your words, not mine, and I agree with them) — while the people who bled, lost limbs, buried friends, and came home broken get twenty-four hours? Seems like the priorities are a little... scrambled. I celebrate everyone's humanity. I do not need a month to do it. But if we are handing out months, I know about 18 million veterans who have been waiting a very long time for that kind of recognition. But what do I know — I am just a bald combat medic who served 23 years, and apparently the calendar has more room for political signaling than for the people who kept this country free."
It almost like the ABC folx are proud for merely existing, which seems like an incredibly low bar for "pride". While those who choose to serve in the military have a legitimate reason to feel pride in their service. But, the military gets a couple of days, the ABC folx get a month. Obviously that is completely fair.

“I am a lesbian woman and I have had enough.
What began as a desperate, necessary riot against police raids on adult gay bars has curdled into something grotesque:
a compulsory public spectacle that demands children as witnesses, lesbians as collateral damage, and material reality as optional.
The flag that once signaled a refusal to be hunted now functions as a loyalty test.
Refuse the test and you are marked.
The original demand was simple and adult....leave us the fuck alone in our bedrooms and our bars.
The current demand is the opposite: watch us, affirm us, restructure language and law and childhood around us, or be destroyed as a bigot.
This is not liberation.
This is a narcissistic supply operation wearing rainbow drag.
In the piece that follows I perform the dissection.
I trace the mutation from Stonewall’s concrete grievance against criminalization to the present carnival of exhibitionism, institutional capture, and boundary violation.
I name the psychological engine...the relentless need for external validation that turns private orientation into public theater and treats dissent as existential threat.
I examine the specific wound inflicted on lesbians: the redefinition of same-sex attraction into a gender-based feeling that conveniently includes males, the pressure to accept the “cotton ceiling” as progressive, and the quiet medicalization of young women who might otherwise have grown into the very lesbians now being erased.
I look at the documented pattern of rapid social influence on adolescent females, the comorbidities the affirmation model refuses to address, and the European evidence reviews that have already begun walking back the experiment on children’s bodies.
This is not a culture war essay.
It is a forensic accounting.
The movement that once fought to de-pathologize homosexuality now re-pathologizes healthy puberty and healthy bodies to sustain its own emotional regulation.
It conscripts minors into adult sexual subcultures under the banner of inclusion and then labels any objection “hate.” It has turned the quiet dignity of loving your own sex into a participation trophy that must be publicly celebrated or else.
If you came here looking for sanitized language or performative balance, you will not find it.
I wrote this because the shame I feel is not for who I love.
The shame is for what has been done in our name and what is still being done to the next generation of girls who might have grown up to love women without apology.
Read it. Or don’t.
But stop pretending the current iteration of this thing still has anything to do with the original demand to be left the fuck alone.

Again it's all about context. Veterans and soldiers do not have a history of people abusing, killing, maligning, rejecting, and demonizing them simply for being soldiers. Indeed they get paid for their work. They get benefits. They get a lot of respect. They're recognized on the planes, in speeches, etc... And it's been that way for centuries, millennia. Whereas for centuries and millennia, LGBTQ people have been oppressed and molested and harmed, simply for being who they are.
LGBTQ folks and their allies, which are many, want to push back against the oppression and that might cause sometimes something like a Pride Month. A Black History Month. A Women's History Month... Because we're trying to turn back the clock against the actual oppression that was very real and very harmful and very lasting.
When soldiers have been maligned and oppressed, beaten and abused for centuries, come to me then and we can talk about writing that wrong.
It's like y'all don't understand context. Which explains a lot.
Hilarious, simply hilarious.
The context is easy to understand. Homos experienced suffering because they refused to control their urges and reject them like adults are expected to do when plagued by temptation. Instead, they indulged them and when discovered, those they were abused by those who recognized the perversion and were justly repulsed by it. To indulge in sexual perversion and then pretend you're deserving of special recognition for enduring the consequences takes a lot of gall.
The context is wickedness of a sexual nature. There's no form of sexual immorality which hasn't brought about some degree of harsh consequence. While one can argue as to whether another is justified in responding harshly to sexual immorality, or that the community is wrong for doing so takes a special kind of fake Christian. The fact of the matter is that there is no form of sexual immorality which hasn't suffered a harsh response. But only the homosexual pretends their form of sexually immoral compulsion is akin to race, sex or ethnicity and deserving of protection, and community forgiveness.
A soldier chooses to put his life on the line for the preservation of the lives of others. Pervs perv for personal pleasure. Dan insults the soldier, the black person, the woman by grouping them with those who choose to live a life of moral degeneracy...a life of blatant rebellion against God...and pretends the pervert has no option but to live life as a pervert and demands that everyone respect his choice to indulge in deviancy.
And again, THAT is the true context, that LGBTQ++++ people have a choice in how they live their lives. A black man can't choose to be Asian. A woman can't choose to be a man (despite what Dan falsely believes). One descended from Armenians will always be a descendant of Armenians. Those things aren't open for choice. Behavior always is. So when one choose to behave badly, the consequences are on that person, not on the abusers. The abusers are simply part of the consequences the homosexual has chosen by choosing perversion over righteous living. You don't get a special day for acting badly. You don't get to say your sin isn't sin and everyone must agree contrary to the clearly revealed Will of God.
When God enacted the punishments for sexual sins, He commanded homosexuals be put to death. And what did He say about it? He said, "their blood will be on their own heads." Homosexuals who choose to live as homosexuals and are discovered are responsible for their own suffering. Their suffering is on their own heads. They are not worthy of special recognition of any kind while they continue indulging in sexual deviancy.
Marshal blindly said...
"There's no form of sexual immorality which hasn't brought about some degree of harsh consequence."
Well except in the GOP where they elect you and defend you and make you a multi-billionaire if you're a sexual deviant. On the other hand there is no sexual immorality in two people committing together to a loving life together. Y'all are moral deviants and you don't even know it.
Although I suspect that your hearts aren't totally hardened and somewhere in your decaying souls you know you've thrown your support behind an open pervert, hedonist, and con man. Now you've gone too far and you can't back away for fear of shaming yourselves. Here's the hint... You've already shamed yourselves.
And here's the good news of Jesus, it's not too late. Repent. Take a stand against the oppressors and join the oppressed. Save your souls.
It’s amazing how you use the language of Biblical/historic Christianity but mean something completely different.
But inventing oppression where none exists, or ignoring the oppression chronicled in the update, is your game.
I live in a world where ABC folx in the US have exactly the same rights and freedoms as everyone else. Which is unfortunately not the case in many other places.
"inventing oppression where none exists..."
I'm speaking of the observable, measurable oppression that has been done against LGBTQ folks for centuries if not forever. Are you seriously trying to suggest that those gay folks were NOT kicked out of their churches, synagogues, mosques, schools, etc for being gay... that they were NOT disowned by their families for being trans? Were not beaten, arrested, put in jail, murdered for being gay... all the horrible realities that LGBTQ folks and their allies recognize in documented history... are you somehow suggesting that very real history of oppression is NOT reality???
You can't be that ignorant of reality and history?
When you preface anything with "I'm speaking" or "I'm saying", I immediately ignore what follows as there is a high likelihood that it will simply be a regurgitation of the same old crap you always spew because you seem to treat the things you speak/say as if they were some kind of holy writ. I'll simply note that you being able to define some behaviors of "oppressive", doesn't negate my statement. It doesn't prove that folx like you don't invent "oppression" where none exists.
What I'm saying is that your list of things you endlessly repeat are not "oppression". In a world where y'all on the left have expanded the definition of "family" to mean pretty much anything, getting "kicked out" of one family isn't the same as the government preventing you from ever being a part of any family. Churches are voluntary assemblies of people, there is no right to be a member of a specific church. The rest of your list, are all crimes. To the extent that those crimes happened (Let's not forget what we've since learned about Matthew Shepherd) those criminals should be punished.
I'll simply note the reality that the only place we actually see ABC folx really oppressed is the one place you stay pretty silent. When an ABC person gets "kicked out" of a Mosque, it likely means thrown off of the roof.
Coming from someone with such ignorance on so many historical topics, your last is hilarious.
Soldiers didn't always get a lot of respect; try during the Vietnam War and years afterwards. The LEFT hated us, spewed curses at us, spit on us, called us baby killers, etc, etc. The soldiers had no say as to where they were sent, 99% didn't commit war crimes, and people like me who never went anywhere (I missed begin sent to Vietnam by OINE MONTH). We finally began getting respect after Desert Storm. Just wanted to set Danny Girl straight,
Good point. What Dan seems to be missing is the historical role played by members of our military. Starting with the revolution and the military securing our national existence, ending slavery, saving much of the world from evil, etc, our military has given much more to our country and the world than the ABC folx. I think that the bigger issue might be the fact that it's unlikely that any group deserves a month to celebrate their behavior.
What is interesting is watching various businesses pull back the level of support for "pride" month, such as Target severely cutting the amount of floor space for "pride" crap.
For most businesses it's always been a marketing stunt, not a sincere partnership. They put rainbows in their ads for a month, which buys them a respite from anything negative from the ABCs for the rest of the year.
