What troubles me most is that anyone allowed this to happen and then get as bad as it has. How many Americans dropped the ball on this? They should somehow be held accountable as well, as anyone tasked with administering tax dollars in any direction has a duty to to so with the best interests and welfare of the taxpayers in mind primarily, and the recipients later.
My expectations for people in government...those at the highest levels of power on each of government level (federal, state, county, municipal)...have risen dramatically commensurate with the degree to which things have degraded into the crapper.
Not only that, but they’ll come out in droves to vote for the people who stood by and let it happen. C
