My Third Post

Thank heavens, the Shuckites weren't actually calling me a NAZI, they were calling someone else a NAZI. Which, of course, makes it all better. Not only that, it was just my (rhetorical) question (that someone took seriously) that was stupid. What a load off my mind. Around my house we don't use the word stupid. Anyway, it's just more fun at the House of Shuck.

Craig, I've appreciated the logic and reasonableness of what you've been saying over on Shuck's blog. You really had Viola's Nazi analogy just right. Like you said, she's saying that the Nazis did x and that the progressives are doing x. But no matter how often that's explained to them, they're just going to keep on saying that Viola says that they're Nazis.

I'm forcing myself to quit commenting there. The people hanging out there are dead set in what they think, and they're not going to change their minds. It's interesting to me that I have twice mentioned that they gave me info that made me understand their point of view on something. The first time I mentioned it, it was ignored; the second time, Shuck responded mockingly. In other words, they're not really interested in building relationships with evangelicals, despite the frequent calls from progressives for peace between factions in the PCUSA.

I like the name of your blog. :-)

Debbie,

Thanks for your support, I'm actually shocked that anyone has linked to this. You are correct about how thing swork over in Shuckville. I just finished a bizzarre thread in which some of his acolytes actually argued that life is better in islamic countires. It is difficult to deal with the constant course changes, when they will not actually engage serious questions.

I'm not sure why I go back, I can only take it in spurts though.
