You clearly don't distrust the MSM enough. In this case, the "nuanced" in the headline is that the AP interviewed people who knew the crews of the destroyed narco boats, and acknowledged that the boats were smuggling drugs.

---It seems this story suggests what you feared about the narco-terrorists using sad impoverished villagers to run their drugs. Not quite the same as nuns and children, but similar given the story claimed the traffickers stayed home in favor of sending the desperately poor to do their dirty work. Now, we're seeing the leftist media exploit this (assuming it's actually true) for political purposes. Poor or not, they're still moving drugs for the cartels, which makes them cartel members/employees.

Clearly not true, given the tone of the AP article. Of course they're only posturing as compassionate, but they would be as well were they nuns and kids. We see the same shit with the ICE operations. They don't care about the illegals. They won't care about nuns and kids. They'll only care about "Orange Man Bad", just as always.
Clearly you haven't been paying attention to the Gaza coverage over the last two years. They'd have killed to have had something comparable to a boat full of kids and nuns being blown up.
So they "care" only to exploit the suffering. That's my point.
