If a state like TX has over 1,000,000 voters on it's rolls that needed to be purged, how many more would states like CA, NY, NJ, IL, and other blues have? Wouldn't it make sense to have mandatory voter roll purges, including non citizens, on a regular basis?
I know that there have been a couple of other states that have also done this and found significant numbers of ineligible voters including non citizens.

Youre going to lose bad.
Well that's a comment completely unrelated to the topic of the post.
Looks like the troll who's been leaving turds at my blog is now doing it here, too. So I copy/pasted what the troll has in quotes and it took me to only a few links...all with the same wording beneath the source. I clicked on the HuffPo link at the top and watched the little clip. His words began after the applause and the "boos" were really minimal and weak. The article suggested Trump's opposition to federal unions (mostly) provokes this response from some union people. But there's a strong argument against such unions where a strike has a far more devastating affect on the general welfare than does the typical strike by, say, auto workers. But I won't belabor the point given the topic isn't about this.
Anyway, this purging of voters rolls is a nationwide issue and even many GOP run states, or at least GOP officials charged with dealing with voter rolls, aren't doing the heavy lifting of purging. Not only is it a matter of illegals, but of dead people, people who no longer live in a particular precinct and the like. Every state is tasked with ensuring these rolls are up to date and they aren't doing it by and large. The blue states don't care at all, and the red states should be ashamed of themselves if they don't. Trump wouldn't have felt the need to call Brad Raffensperger had he took that job more seriously.
Voter rolls should be purged regularly, regardless.
Absolutely. It should be ongoing throughout the year. Midterms have national implications, too.
Art,
I'm not sure about frequency, but it does seems like once a state does a major purge after a long period without, that subsequent purges would be easier.
Most likely as there would be less to purge.
Most likely.
