Strangely enough, I suspect Dan would tell this guy that he's wrong. I know Art would tell him that he's not normal".
The key is the "equal rights under the law and being left alone" part. People are free to engage in all sorts of behaviors that are harmful, sinful, or otherwise not "normal", and to be left alone to do so.
