Conversion
I just saw that Maine has banned "conversion therapy", which raises a questions.
Why is "sexual orientation" an immutable, unchangeable part of ones very being but gender is fluid?

When someone who has failed to acknowledge the existence of the multitude of questions they've ignored, makes this statement, I can't help but laugh.

It’s always interesting
It’s always interesting to see how folx will use one thing to excuse or rationalize something significantly different.
For example, using ectopic pregnancy to justify abortion under all circumstances. Literally by definition an ectopic pregnancy eliminates the possibility of a viable pre born human.
“A pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus. The fertilized egg can't survive outside the uterus.”
An ectopic pregnancy is literally a natural occurrence where the result is not a viable human.
So, why would anyone use an instance where a non viable human being has to be removed to prevent actual literal physical harm to the mother as a rationale for termination of a viable human being simply for the convenience of the mother?
It literally makes no sense. One is a non viable natural occurrence, abortion terminates a completely viable human being in a completely unnatural way.
The other thing to remember is that ectopic pregnancy is rare. It’s one more case of trying to use the tragedy of the extreme minority to justify or obscure the actions of the majority.
Ectopic pregnancy, like miscarriage, is a tragedy for those involved, and we should offer what comfort we can to those who experience these tragedies. It seems like using these tragic circumstances as justification for abortion for convenience is just compounding the tragedy.

Graduation
I haven’t been to a High School graduation in a few years until last Friday, I noticed 4 things that gave me pause to think.
1. The young lady who was walking back to her seat and felt it appropriate to flip off someone was quite impressive.
2. What is it about parents and family members that renders some of them incapable of the modicum of self control it takes to follow instructions and not yell when your kids name is announced. It’s especially nice when it drowns out the next name or two called out.
3. The exception to this was the almost universal applause for the two special needs graduates. Especially seeing their classmates cheer them on was encouraging.
4. The highlight of the evening was seeing multiple young blacks men seek out and hug a middle aged white police officer as they walked through the line. This is especially hopeful given that this was a suburb of a metropolitan area with significant race problems as well as significant problems between black kids and white cops.
The last two give me hope for gen Z.

Subset
There is a certain subset of liberals who think that it’s appropriate to threaten those who disagree with them with rape and murder. Seriously, what kind of person threatens the families of those they disagree with rape, murder, and makes racist comments simply for disagreeing? But more than that, is the leftist lemmings that jump on the bandwagon, piling on, or the larger subset who sit silently by and do nothing.

One of the shooters was transgender, the other hated Christians and appeared to be pro-Satan/pro-occult
The transgender shooter's father was a criminal illegal alien deported multiple times
The other shooter's family had "significant mental health challenges" present
Investigators believe that one of the shooters was using illicit drugs
I'm not saying that anything past the first sentence is true, but I sure seems to fit the growing trend of silence when any sort of shooting or other attack doesn't fit a particular narrative.

If Planned Parenthood has $50,000,000 dollars laying around not being used for women’s health care, why are the taxpayers subsidizing them?
It seems strange that they’d get $550,000,000 in government subsidies, then give $50,000,000 to politicians who are going to maintain the subsidies.
Pretty good ROI.
Isn’t this essentially taking taxpayer money and giving it to politicians or their campaigns.
This isn’t so much a complaint about PP specifically, the whole notion just sounds sleazy.

More silence
A liberal PA politician verbally attacks a woman silently praying on public property, and then offers his followers cash if they identify two teenaged girls also praying silently in public. Then when the video he too of himself verbally harassing these silent, innocent women gets criticized, he goes on the attack.
You know who else is silent? The folx on his side of the political spectrum.
It’s not surprising, it’s expected.
