"Boe v. Marshall is going down as the biggest own goal of the gender war. In 2022, the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, and cronies challenged Alabama's ban on youth gender medicine. Alabama in return ordered WPATH to turn over 2 million emails in the discovery process, from which we learnt, among other things, that: - Admiral Rachel Levine pressured WPATH to remove all the lower age requirements from its Standards of Care 8 because their inclusion would harm litigation at the state level. - Top WPATH members interfered with supposedly independent systematic reviews, suppressing evidence that didn’t suit their political goals. - Some SOC8 authors, along with "social justice" lawyers, shunned evidence reviews because they knew the results would reveal little to no evidence supporting gender-affirming interventions, and this would in turn harm litigation efforts. The level of fraud and corruption in this scandal is unrivalled in history. That the plaintiffs have now dropped this challenge is surely an encouraging sign that the end is in sight."
Unintended consequences.

Evidence of harm is far more substantial than evidence of benefit. Even where the patient believes he/she is better off, there is ongoing attention to maintain that which the body will reject.
But to push this travesty without having proven that the benefits truly outweigh the harm is irresponsible and totally contrary to the oaths medical practitioners take to do no harm.
The evidence of harm is, at this point, overwhelming. Which is strange because Mr "I measure everything by harm" simply ignores the carnage that the policies he vociferously supports has wrought. He also ignores the fact that 80% +or- of all "trans" youth eventually grow past it, and the disproportionate amount of sexual violence perpetrated by the "trans" community.
Dan's too willing to defend the indefensible if doing so helps his posturing as a compassionate "Christian". Better still is how for him, doing so makes him morally superior to conservatives about whom he knows nothing at all.
