More random stuff, some from black voices

https://twitter.com/ImmuneHack/status/1567130823878492160

According to the table in the post, 47% of blacks are able to read at a basic level, while 18% are proficient.  Is it reasonable to assign the difference between racial/ethnic groups entirely to "racism"?    Isn't it possible that there are other factors that would improve these numbers?

A "Trans Rights" group posted a meme that points out that 98% of straight men are unwilling to date "trans women" because of "hatred".    Their conclusion is, "THIS HAS TO CHANGE".

I guess I'd start with the obvious, that their claim appears to have no supporting data.  Couldn't it be True that men won't date "trans women", because they're heterosexual and don't want to date another guy?  No matter how the other guy presents themselves?    Couldn't it also be True that this aversion to dating "trans women" isn't because of "hatred", but for other reasons?   Couldn't it be because many men would want to date someone with whom they might someday want to impregnate and conceive a child?

Note:  Obviously some % of women are incapable of conceiving a child.  Yet in most cases, the only way to find out about this is to attempt to conceive,  and in some cases there are medical interventions that can allow conception or implantation of a embryo in the womb of the woman.    We all know that the possibility of a "trans woman" conceiving is zero.

For the last couple of years we've been told that "transitioning" children will prevent them from committing suicide.  Now we we data that calls that narrative into question.   Will those who worship Science and Data now reconsider their narrative an follow the Science?

Apparently, if you're a man, and you're attracted to the lady parts of a woman (hopefully we can leave it at lady parts), then your simply expressing a "fetish".     Strangely enough, this "fetish" is literally one of the main mechanisms that Evolution uses to propagate virtually all mammalian species.  So much for following the Science.

Just one more reminder that the tens of millions of dollars donated to BLM remain mostly unaccounted for and haven't been (so far as anyone knows) spent on actual poor black people.

But, the "experts"...

As recently as the aftermath of the 2016 election Karine Jean-Pierre said that the 2016 election was "stolen" and praised Jimmy Carter for saying that "Trump didn't actually win".  She also made public statements about convincing the EC to reject Trump.      Yet somehow that's OK.

It's pretty clear that "science" has a different meaning to the leftists. What they insist we follow isn't science at all, but ideology...and an especially destructive and immoral ideology at that. The worst part is how devoted they are to it, and how deluded they are in believing it's worthy of that devotion.

As regards education stats for the black community, I wonder just how "racists" are preventing black kids from acquiring basic reading, writing and math skills. What is the method for preventing them from paying attention in school, doing the work and striving for excellence? These not-so-tongue-in-cheek questions are legitimate for anyone who dares suggest they care about the black community. I think it's shameful for anyone with children to not demand better than what we see in the stats. While I was not the best student in the world, my mother was adamant that I do the work and wouldn't accept bullshit. There's not enough parents like that these days among any race or ethnic group. If there were, we'd not have the Democrat Party in power.

Art,

I'm convinced that most on the left subscribe to some form of Scientism, where they essentially treat Science as something much more than it has ever been considered to be. While simultaneously, ignoring the findings of science when it doesn't support their narrative, or clinging to "experts" as long as they agree with the narrative.

I suspect the argument would be that "racists" prevent adequate school funding for minority schools. The problem with this narrative is that schools in minority areas are frequently funded at higher levels than others, that minority students do perform well in other schools, and that every single difference between ethnic groups is 100% due to racism.

Obviously students that have an intact nuclear family, a family that values a strong work ethic, a family that supports their academic efforts, and a desire to learn, will succeed pretty much anywhere. Ben Carson is an excellent example, as are the kids in a program that I volunteer with.

I don't think we can ignore the movement by "education experts" and the DFL to take parents out of involvement with their children's education as a factor as well.

No doubt. The left have long had their eyes on our kids, and their intentions are clearly more indoctrination toward the state than on education. Thomas Sowell has many a tale illustrating what a proper educational environment can provide for minority kids, as well as evidence to back it up.

Craig ridiculously opined...

You know what a scientist or many rational folk on the Left who believe in the scientific method would say to this, don't you?

Where is your data?

"MOST" on the left? Really?

Do you have any data or is this a wholly whimsical and unsupported claim?

In short, prove it. Show us the data and we could probably agree.

But if this is just another of the modern conservative "All the best people are saying" kind of unsupported false claim, well, that is exposed for the damned lie it is.

"You know what a scientist or many rational folk on the Left who believe in the scientific method would say to this, don't you?"

What an interesting question. My answer is that I don't care. My response would be; "Do you really believe that the scientific method under girds every claim about Science?". I see too many on the left who believe all sorts of things that haven't been proven experimentally, or are not falsifiable.

"Where is your data?"

Observation and study.

""MOST" on the left? Really?"

Given that 51% is most, and especially when you consider how many people blindly repeat "believe the Science" about things that have been proven to be false, I'm pretty confident that at least 51% of people on the left believe in some form of Scientism. How else does one explain people who believe that Science offers answers to things Science was never intended to explain?

"Do you have any data or is this a wholly whimsical and unsupported claim?"

Do you really think that rewording the same question twice in one comment is rational?

"But if this is just another of the modern conservative "All the best people are saying" kind of unsupported false claim, well, that is exposed for the damned lie it is."

The guilt by association canard, followed by the false claim canard. It's not your best work, but not bad.

I've got to point out that in your haste to find something to get angry about, and your haste to bash conservatives, you seem to have missed the point of my comment entirely. That point being that we are seeing a movement towards giving Science a level of explanatory power, and using Science to coerce certain behaviors, that it's becoming a quasi religion.

For example, the scientific method assumes that through experimental evidence, and rigorous testing, that we can learn things about the physical world. While also leaving room for other testing to reveal other evidence that falsifies earlier conclusions. Yet somehow people claim that we should "trust the Science" before the actual testing process is completed. That we should "trust the Science" even when the testing process doesn't support the original claim. That we should simultaneously "trust the Science", and accept that "the Science" changes regularly.

Kaepernick took a solemn knee in protest of state violence. Like the MLK you’re all of a sudden soft on.

You? Outraged.

Farve took millions from a welfare fund for a volleyball stadium.

You? Crickets.

You are not listening to black voices. You cull out the 2% you like.

And Marshal thrills to abusing migrants like a human trafficker. He’s full of lies and violence.

I happened to be in Martha’s Vineyard last week. The migrants were completely cared for.

DeSantis spent millions of taxpayers money to fly 50 migrants to heaven. While 50 million migrants in Florida do work slobs like Marshal won’t do.

And now there’s an investigation into abusing these migrants like the human traffickers Marshal, Craig, and thugs et al, “pretend” to despise but emulate.

And then, of course, there’s this:

Finally, three months ago, Conservatives were arguing to the Supreme Court that abortion should be state matter.

Obviously they lied through their teeth in order to achieve sharia laws.

This moron lament tax dollars spent to transport illegals to places inhabited by lefties who support sanctuary cities, but ignores tax dollars spent by Biden to transport them all over the country in the dead of night and without consent of those places the illegals end up. What's more, the tax dollars spent to subsidize their being here is also ignored. feo's really a stupid man.
