When people tell you who they are and what they want, listen to them. The notion that current Boers should be punished for the actions of their grandparents is ridiculous.
Over the 4 years of the Biden Harris administration an unprecedented number of illegal aliens crossed into the US. While US citizens were losing jobs and having to watch their family members die along, millions of illegal aliens waltzed across the border without even being tested for COVID. As Trump has lowered those numbers significantly, and is working to deport those who've committed additional crimes after immigrating illegally, the stance of the left has changed.
South Africa has become increasingly hostile to the Boers over the last few years. We've seen the videos of "Kill the Boers", the crosses representing dead Boers, and the moves to appropriate Boer farms over the last few years.

Fast forward to 2025 and we see a whopping 49 Boer refugees who've followed the legal process to enter the US and seek asylum. There are a few obvious things in the pictures we've seen. They're coming with intact families, they're excited to be in the US and ready to assimilate, and they're (from what I've seen) not asking or expecting free stuff.

It'll be interesting to compare these families to Somalians in 5 years of so. We obviously have plenty of data from Europe on the productivity of immigrants.
In short, the APL has forgone it's insistence on "self determination" for immigrants seeking asylum by following the prescribed legal process simply because they're white and Christian.

Not to quibble too much, but I'd correct one statement by insisting Trump intends to deport all illegals but has begun the process by focusing on the most criminal.

Which really isn't that much different from what I said. He is "currently working to deport those who've committed additional crimes..." is a reasonably accurate statement of where the focus is currently. It doesn't preclude additional deportations later, but does describe the current reality.
So yeah, it might be "too much" of a quibble.
This is really focusing on how the APL has done a 180 on immigration, and further embraced racism, as opposed to quibbling about Trump's successes in this area.

This is a far more obvious case of direct threat than is muslims being attacked by other muslims. While both is reprehensible (assuming the muslims being attacked are just minding their own biz), it's hard to find a more obvious example of racial injustice at this time. Were the Boers ever chanting "kill the black people" at rallies? I've seen no such footage or read of no such events.
So, black Africans can shout out their hatred and hateful intentions against the white Boers, muslims can chant their hatred and hateful intentions against the Jews, but deporting illegal alien invaders is just freakin' awful!
The problem is not which is more reprehensible, the problem is that the APL ignores the realities of their pet "oppressed" groups in favor of an unrealistic narrative based on the warped premise (borrowed from Communism) that the world must be viewed through the oppressor/oppressed lens and that groups fall into one of those categories based on criteria other than actual behavior. There's no real question that Islam and Communism are the two philosophies that have engaged in more conquest, oppression, and harm that any others in the past 900 years, yet idiots insist on ignoring or minimizing that fact.
I saw something the other day about how white's don't belong in SA because they don't speak Zulu. Ignoring the reality that white settlers predated the Zulu (who were conquering oppressors) by hundreds of years. Ignoring the reality that those settlers took a barren/arid land and managed to develop a sustainable agricultural system.
It's telling that when the ANC took over SA, that the previous government destroyed their nukes, because they knew that the potential for misuse was significantly higher.
But progressives are sweet.
Sweet on oppressors, conquerors, and those who abuse women.
