I saw a post on IG a while back talking about what churches can learn from Buc-ee's, it was a tongue in cheek group of suggestions that made a lot of sense. For example.
Find excellence in the ordinary. Have clean bathrooms, be friendly, don't make excuses for mediocrity, over deliver in places people expect it least.
Stuff like that. Not about watering down the Gospel, lights, lasers, fog machines, brisket, or anything but taking some minimal steps so that people feel welcomed in church.
Then I saw the follow up post abut the comments, and went back for the comments.
The one that struck me was this.
"Come as you are, leave as you were."
The second half of that really hits home. How many churches are so invested in low expectations that they don't care if people don't experience change.

"Come as you are, leave as you were" should be the motto of market-driven/seeker-sensitive churches.
I would agree that many/most probably fit that sentiment.
