The best evidence

So far given the best evidence our local, in the tank for the DFL, media has found it looks like Omar did marry her brother and committed tax fraud and immigration fraud.   There’s also reports that the brother is gay, I personally doubt that because it’s just too perfect and we know how the R.O.P. treats gays.

What does it say about the voters that elected her and the party that supports her that this and her anti-Semitism get a pass?

Your moron, con-man, perverted piece of shit president is actively stoking racists in racist attacks against four wonderful women and THIS is what you lead with?

Like your president, you have embraced evil. You have become blinded with your hatred for human decency and morality, kindness and reason... you have allowed your arrogant worship of modern "conservatism" to cause you to build a petty little hate-god who seeks to destroy and malign and tear down.

Repent, you pathetic sack of human filth. You will one day regret your false attacks and embrace of/support of evil in this garbage president. Why not get ahead of the game and repent now.

You are on the wrong side of decency, morality, reason and history. Turn back.

Don't be like those sad racist old klansmen who still meet in their silly little robes thinking that they're talking about something important when in reality, they're just pathetic. For the sake of your children and your grandchildren, repent.

Craig said...

Dan,

Why should I repent from talking about the most accurate facts we have, reported by news organizations that are pro DFL?

Trump is a horrible human being who I don’t support because of his many moral failures.

That doesn’t mean that y’all can ignore you’re own problem folx.

It’s not my problem that the folx MN 5 elect idiots. Hell, Omar could stop this today if she wanted. But she chooses to keep up the anti-Semitism, dodge the questions that make her uncomfortable and this could be done.

Instead you choose to act like Trump and spew filth and ad hom attacks.

I’ve never been a Democrat so it’s unlikely I’d be a Klansman.

Craig said...

I just saw someone on FB who’s perfectly fine with a headline that lies about something Trump didn’t say, because it fits his prejudices.

It’s interesting that I said nothing about race in my post, yet you turn it into a racial thing.

It’s interesting that you’re essentially going with marrying one’s sibling and tax/immigration fraud being moral.

Maybe you should read the post first, then try to avoid ranting and use facts instead.

Craig said...

This is apparently acceptable racism.

“white people love dogs so much because deep down they miss owning slaves. They love the owner and master dynamic, desperate for something to control”

Dan Trabue said...

I see Zero links supporting your stupid ass claims. I see, at the same time, the president of the f****** United States engaging in some of the most egregious sort of racist comments and I see you saying not a goddamn thing about it, you cowardly piece of s***.

Save your soul. Repent you Jackal, you bottom feeder.

Dan Trabue said...

And your last comment is not racism. Are you just so stupid that you understand the meaning of the word or are you just so evil that you're trying to attack the victims. Again. As you white types of people and oppressors have done for Millennia. Repent. Or at least read a book and talked to some black folks. God damn it you can't be this stupid.

Dan Trabue said...

Why should you repent? You should repent for your complicity in supporting this evil, racist ass idiot con man. You're like the Germans who may not have been actively fighting as Nazis but who remained silent as they went on with their oppression and murder. You are complicit.

Repent and change your ways.

I cannot find a single news story about your allegations. I do see clearly the biggest news story of the day was Trump's racist attacks. You are silent on those. On that then, you are complicit.

EVEN IF your allegations, or some of them, turn out to be true, you are missing the point. That was not the biggest news story of the day, yesterday or this past week. You are straining gnats and swallowing Campbell's. Get busy fighting the real Danger. It is even more important the people who call themselves conservative get busy taking action against Trump. The Trump conservatives are not going to listen to progressives like me. The only hope conservatism has is a the few remaining decent and honest conservatives start speaking out as loudly as George Will. You're not doing that.

Your silence repeatedly is complicity.

Dan Trabue said...

The president that evengelical white conservatives elected just stated the most racist thing any president has said in at least half a century. I cannot find a single conservative blog amongst friends, including you, that is denouncing this. There is complete silence. The reason is pretty clear, if you just listen to conservative. They don't think what he said was racist. They're ignoring the reality of his racism. If you truly want to stand against Trump, now's the time to do so. The fact is, you are a cowardly and complicit piece of s*** and you don't care.

Craig said...

Dan,

If you can’t see racism in that quote, which assigns negative motives to people solely because of their race, then you’ve clearly blind to that which you don’t want to see.

Speaking of willful blindness the ongoing story of Omar’s immigration/tax/bigamy situation has been a concern since before she was elected (y’all elected her anyway). The fact that the Strib finally acknowledged it is significant. The fact that you aren’t smart enough to find it means your probably the right amount of stupid to get elected in MN 5. Of course you’re race would disqualify you from contention immediately.

As for the rest of your ranting, I’ve not and still don’t support Trump. No matter how much you wish, swear, and invoke Hitler doesn’t change that simple reality.

The fact that you’ve remained silent as folx on your side have engaged in multiple physically violent attacks recently seriously undermines your credibility as well as your excessively vitriolic response.

FYI, I’ve seen multiple conservatives condemning his comments. I just don’t see the need to bitch about everything Trump does that upsets me, because short of ANTIFA pulling a JW Booth act, his first term is almost over and y’all can get him out of office the old fashioned way.

I think your problem is that you look at a really small sample size of people you consider “conservative” and you just assume that the small sample size represents every single person you consider to be “conservative”. It’s a problem with looking at groups over individuals.

Craig said...

Due to your impatience I’m going to post this. I know your first reaction will be to dismiss it because you don’t like the source. If you weren’t so impatient and unable to work the Google, I would have pulled the primary sources out and spoon fed them to you like a child. But you’re bitchy and impatient, and I’m too busy.

This piece is full of links to places like the Strib, and various government documents that support the allegations. You’ll have to go to the links and look. Something you rarely seem to do. Let’s also keep in mind that this is the same state political machine that covered up domestic abuse and runs the city governments where “racist” white cops kill black folx and racist (or unqualified/affirmative action/not very bright) black Muslim cops shoot white women. Not the most savory bunch of politicians, but folx keep voting for them and then we’re stuck.

I do like how you chose 50 years as your cutoff of racist presidents so you could exclude LBJ, let’s not forget how closely Clinton was connected to racists either. Oh, Hillary fawns over how wonderful Margaret Sanger was, and she was a racist. Oh, I guess you don’t include anti Semitism as racism. Cause then you’ve got Hillary, Omar, Talib, and Farrakhan flying that flag.

Dan Trabue said...

Re: assign negative motives because of their race...

This is literally NOT the definition of racism. Again, ask some black folk to explain it to you.

Dan Trabue said...

As to the rest of your shit-mouthed nonsense, you're still missing the point. Answer ONE very simple question: do you recognize the racism in Trump's dangerous and stupid demonization?

The answer is almost certainly not. And THAT is the problem.

An embraced ignorance is going to be the destruction of modern conservatism, which will be linked to racism, sexual oppression, stupidity, dishonesty and general evil for generations.

Craig said...

Because I realize what the real definition of racism is, I recognize it where it is, not where it helps me to imagine it.

I’m done playing your stupid “answer one question” games. If you won’t do what you demand of me, why should I waste my time jumping through your idiotic hoops.

You ignore violence, racism, and anti-Semitism on your side while ranting and raving nonsensically about perceived racism.

FYI, here’s the definition of racism and the quote I posted seems to fit just fine.

“the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.”

As long as your only interest is bashing Trump, not in dealing with racism, you’re wasting everyone’s time.

Craig said...

I’m curious as to where in Trump’s comments he referred to the race of anyone.

Dan Trabue said...

You are NOT this stupid, are you?

You're embracing and defending evil with your pathetic silence.

Repent.

Craig said...

No, I’m not. I haven’t embraced or defended anything or anyone.

But, the concept of defending by silence is interesting. If one accepts this concept as a universal truth, then we can assemble a list of things Dan defends by silence quite easily.

I’m wondering if the thought that your own standards actually apply to you ever crossed your mind?

But it’s easier to fling epithets and vitriol than to do anything else.

The reality is that for sad, reprobate people like Dan, all Trump need do is belch and by golly, they'll say it proves he's racist. This just shows that Dan is a bigger, more inveterate liar than he claims Trump is, because there's nothing he won't do to perpetuate whatever negative about Trump he can.

There is NOTHING in Trump's tweet that suggests racism, but there is racism in the accusation that there is. The Trump-haters NEED for Trump to be racist, as it rationalizes their irrational hatred for the man. There's nothing Trump could do on behalf of the black race (or any other minority, for that matter) that would dissuade a lying buffoon like Dan from his deranged need for Trump to be a racist. The following link that Dan won't read provides just a few examples of Trump's disregard for skin color:

https://www.reddit.com/r/WomenForTrump/comments/4d03qn/lets_compile_a_list_of_prowomen_prominority/

The tweet in question clearly speaks to the anti-American sentiments of the women in question...most specifically Omar...and when one thinks of all those who claimed they'd leave the country if Trump was elected, it's hilarious that Trump is now lambasted for insisting they're free to leave.

Dan whines on about Trump's low character by engaging in extremely low character language here. He is every bit of what he accuses Trump of being, except for the womanizing (as far as we know). He wants us to talk to black people in order to understand racism. The problem with this is he no doubt wants us to talk to black people who feel like he does. I deal with black people almost every day, and without a doubt every day I'm at work. I have a running debate with one particular leftist black who demonstrates the same level of hate towards and lies about Trump as does Dan. But at least my co-worker can excuse his unChristian attitudes by virtue of the fact that he's an atheist. But Dan's not really a Christian, so they're the same in that regard as well.

The question is, what of the blacks that agree with Trump, or at least don't see him as racist. Are they liars? Stupid? Self-loathing?

Dan refers to the four as "wonderful women". Dan agrees with their anti-semiticism, their illegal-alien-over-Americanism, their racist no-black-is-worthy-if-he-doesn't-agree-with-meism...there's nothing wonderful about them, except that they oppose Trump is enough for Dan to regard them as wonderful.

I think I'm pretty much done with Dan. I dunno. I may or may not comment on his blog of hate and fake Christianity. We'll see. But I'm definitely done with trying to regard him as a mature, thoughtful and honest individual. He's just too keen on dispelling that notion from my mind. I certainly don't need the likes of him pretending he's qualified or capable of preaching morality. He doesn't know the meaning of that word any more than he understands the meaning of "racism". I'm tired of he and his troll pretending they're Christians when they so clearly are not. I'm tired of qualifying everything I say that is truthful about Trump by mentioning that he has a flawed character. He's risen above most of it as president, while Dan has embraced reprehensible characteristics in response to him.

If this whole “silence=support” construct is really true, then Dan supported virtually every immigration policy he now condemns while the P-BO administration engaging in them.

What’s sad is that Dan is so willfully blinded by his hatred for Trump, that he turns a blind eye to his (and the DFL’s) actions.

Dan Trabue said...

You fucking lying coward ass-wipe, I've pointed out that I DID criticize Obama for his immigration policies. As I've pointed out repeatedly, our criticism was muted a bit by the reality that alternatively were the even worse GOP pplicies, but that doesn't change the reality that we were opposed to Obama's policies and said so.

No, this is just another amoral lie from the morally bankrupt modern conservative religion, which has made corrupt little gods built on lies and sexual deviancy/oppression and racism. As we see in your collective inability to call out obvious racist attacks from the pervert, racist you all elected.

Condemn the racism or admit you can't and won't.

Craig said...

I know it’s a waste of time, but please. provide some proof that you criticized the actions that O-BO’s administration engaged in while P-BO was in office. If you can do do, I’ll gladly admit that my specific example was wrong and apologize for using that example.

Although, if the actions are objectively bad in and of themselves, why would you soften your criticism of actions you call “evil” because you like the guy engaging in them?

That sounds like what you’re accusing others of doing.

FYI, there were no “worse GOP” policies that could have been enacted without P-BO signing them.

What specific policies are you referring to?

Proof, will entail actual links to posts/comments you made during P-BO’s administration where you criticized his immigration actions/policy as well as actual GOP legislation proposed while P-BO was in office.

Epithets and expletives aren’t a substitute for evidence and data. No matter how much easier it is to curse and revile than it is to prove.

I’ve condemned racism previously, I’ve never supported racism, nothing has changed. I still condemn racism, no matter where it comes from. I also condemn anti-Semitism, something you seem much more comfortable with than I do. At least since you’ve been silent, and according to you “silence=support”.

Proof!

Marshal Art said...

"...I've pointed out that I DID criticize Obama for his immigration policies."

Not in any blog post of Dan's that I ever saw. And I should know, as I took the time to review every blog post of Dan's since the last three months of the Bush administration, until shortly after Obama's second term was over. I wrote down every negative thing I could find Dan said about Obama. It filled less than half a page on a 6x9 notepad. Not one thing about immigration. So if Dan criticized Obama's immigration policies during Obama's presidency, he didn't do it at his own blog, where one would think a detailed opinion could easily have been posted.

It's easy enough to condemn racism. I don't know that I have to do it over and over again just to appease an irrational demand from a deranged Trump-hater. What's more, as I've never done or said anything that any honest, relatively intelligent person could possibly misconstrue as racist, it makes no sense that I would condone, approve, enable or stand for actual racism in any politician of any party and particularly a politician for whom I've cast my vote.

There's no racism in the tweets in question. None. There is only racism in Dan, as he so easily deals that card in his never-ending obsession with persuading everyone on earth to hate Trump as much as he does...like the good Christian he is.

In the meantime, we once again see Dan stoop beneath the level he places Trump in so eagerly choosing to use profane and obscene language here. It's another case where his abject hypocrisy manifests. He threatens and deletes comments for appropriate use of language because he treats his opponents as he treats Trump...making them out to be worse than they are..., while ignoring any sense of grace and decorum at the blogs of others, as if he has legitimate justification. Again, Dan's no Christian.

Dan Trabue said...

Marshal says there is nothing racist in the clearly racist tweet from your pervert grand dragon king. Craig won't answer the question, letting his silence speak against him.

This is the problem. Your side is embracing a chosen blindness to the increasingly blatant racism and evil of this administration. Some 65% of the US recognizes the racism, as do a vast majority of black folk, but the perverted evil defenders say that old white conservatives are the ones who get to make that call... do you even recognize the condescension and racism in that suggestion ..?

Open your eyes. You're an embarrassing to your children and grandchildren. Read. Listen to black folk and immigrants. Read some more.

1. I asked you to point out what language in the tweets was explicitly, specifically racist and your silence spoke volumes.

2. I read the link you provided and I’m not sure if it’s racist when it’s been applied to virtually every race, including white, over time.

3. You are still unclear on whether “silence=support” is a universal truth.

4. Your absence of specific “racist and evil” acts, executive orders, or legislation renders your charges slightly vague and unspecific.

5. Most of the immigrants I’ve talked to came through the process legally, they think your full of crap.

6. Is anti-Semitism racist?

Finally, as long as you’re going to impute all sorts of unsupported crap from my “silence”, especially since I haven’t been silent, then don’t get all bitchy and whiny when I draw conclusions from your silence.

All the things you call racist and evil in the handling of immigrants is carryovers from P-BO, yet you couldn’t rouse yourself to anger and vitriol then. Now we’ve got video of people from all sorts of ethnic backgrounds proclaiming P-BO quotes racist.

How about a bit of intellectual consistency?

Since the comments made did not address race, really didn’t specifically address individuals directly, I see no way to label them racist by any standard definition of racism. If he was singling our Omar, he was pointing out here country of origin, not her race.

Please, continue to wallow in this pool of hatred and vitriol, infuse it deeply into your innermost being, absorb it into your everyday life, campaign on it, revel in it, because eventually it’ll destroy you.

I’m assuming you don’t have a problem with people telling Melania to “go back where she came from”.

“Democrats have compared attendees to last night’s Trump rally to attendees of a KKK rally.

Dan, this quote is from a young man named CJ Pearson, he’s all over social media. Do you have the balls to publicly call him out for being a racist?

Craig said...

“Can you really talk about evil without assuming an absolute moral framework?”

Marshal Art said...

"Marshal says there is nothing racist in the clearly racist tweet from your pervert grand dragon king."

Because there isn't anything racist in the clearly non-racist tweet simply because you want and need there to be in order to rationalize your fake-Christian grace-embracing hatred of Donald Trump. You'd have had firmer ground upon which to stand had you gone with "xenophobic" tweet...except that it's not xenophobic, either. The point of the tweet is the anti-American sentiments of the nincompoops who express them so freely as if they true.

In the meantime, if the tweet is racist, you've still refused, in your rank cowardice, to point out the racist part of the tweet and explain why it is. Sure, that'll only make me laugh even harder, but I'm still keen on watching you tap-dance around it.

So, I say again...had Omar not been the target...had some woman of Scandinavian descent been the target instead, not one of you hateful, lying, race-baiting lefties played that card.

Repent.

Dan Trabue said...

Some racist comments are not so much the words but the context. If a white man says to a black man, "I bet you sho' nuff like yo' watermelon, don't you, boy?" THAT is racist. It doesn't matter that he's not mentioning the black man's race, it is a racist comment because of the history of words being used to abuse and oppress black people in this world.

Do you recognize that reality or is your head so far up your white ass that you don't recognize that, boys?

There are other words and phrases that are similarly in our history. One of them, as normal adults recognize, the suggestion to "go back to where you came from." Now, I'm sure that there are some white people who, because of the privilege of living in their little white palaces, may not be aware of that history, but that sort of ignorance is chosen and comes from a place of privilege and deliberate ignorance.

Go ahead, ask your black friends. They'll tell you of what you're claiming to be ignorant of.

So, given the reality that some 65% of the US recognizes this racism for what it is... that some 80-90% of black folk recognize Trump for his racist ways, given his constant pandering to racists, klansboys and white supremacists (all of whom recognize this phrase as a racist phrase, themselves!)... given all that history and reality, the question comes down to this for the privileged and ignorant white boys like you: Are you going to PRESUME to tell the majority of this nation and nearly all black folk that THEY are wrong and that YOU "know" better than they do?

If so, are you too stupid or ignorant to recognize the presumed racist attitudes in that very belief?

One day, you will be forced to recognize the evil and racism and sexual perversion and oppression you are defending. If you have a decent bone left in your body at that point, you will be utterly ashamed by your defense of this great evil. Why not repent now and save you and your family the embarrassment of being a defender of rapists, racists and moral degenerates?

Repent.

Craig said...

So, you’re not going to point out the explicit, specific racist aspects of the tweets. You’re just going to repeat the same old narrative as if repetition (or an opinion poll) defines Truth.

I’d ask that you provide proof of your claim that I’m “defending racism, sexual perversion, and oppression”, but you’ve clearly demonstrated that you don’t do proof.

Dan Trabue said...

I just did. There is a clear and abundant history of white racist douchebags like the people YOU surround support and surround yourselves with using this phrase to attack and oppress black folk. Now MAYBE your head is so thoroughly up your privileged white ass that you've never had to hear these words of oppression, but that does not change the reality.

JUST LIKE your white racist buddies have made watermelon jokes, or fried chicken jokes or hangman noose "jokes" etc, etc, to oppress innocent black people and have done so for centuries - they also have used, "we should send those apes back to Africa" and other barely literate attacks on black folks. That IS the real world history of that phrase, you backwards ass racist defender. I cited a source to point out what you appear to be ignorant of, but you ignore the data, the reality, ALL to defend a bunch of evil oppressors.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

And yes, despite what you whine about to Stan, the racist oppressors ARE FUCKING EVIL. They have oppressed God's people for generations. They have killed, raped, beaten, harassed minority race people and it is wrong. The Biblical authors have stated it's wrong and besides that, it is just fucking clearly wrong to any sentient moral human. That you don't recognize the evil that these oppressors (like Trump and his racist buddies) because you live in a pretty little world of fancy-assed white privilege does not mean it isn't evil.

Repent. Open your eyes and recognize the evil that you are defending and ignoring and repent.

Or if you're not, then at least get the hell out of the way and shut up so rational and moral adults can take care of them.

You are an embarrassment to your family and will be for generations. IF you have any moral rectitude within your soul, eventually you will be ashamed of your behavior. Open your eyes.

Dan Trabue said...

And people (some 65%) are upset enough to curse and offend your whiney-assed little white ears precisely because we are dealing with evil behavior. So, when you ignore and defend racist Behavior like Trump is engaged in, but you are on the side of oppressors. And when you pretend that sort of Oppression to take objection to simple curse words, you are missing the point. Don't be obtuse. Your white privilege is making you stupid.

Craig said...

You’d think it would be easy to point out what the specific, explicit racism is, yet you substitute expletives for explanation.

The only one whining is you, along with minimizing evil. When everyone but you and a few select folk are evil and racist, then you just trivialize those terms.

I have to wonder if you reveling in your expletive fueled rage is just so satisfying on some primal level that you’d rather rage than respond. Or if it’s just a smokescreen to hide your inadequacies and inability to respond rationally.

You keep making claims about my “behavior” and what I’m “defending”, yet those claims don’t conform to reality. Has your vitriolic, expletive laced, rage caused you to break with reality?

Craig said...

It’s interesting that you consider pointing out demonstrable reality “whining”. That’s one more word you are stripping meaning from.

Craig said...

I love the use of an unsourced “statistic” as justification for expletive laced rage. It’s as if opinion polls now decide morality. Is this another instance where (like silence=support) where opinion polls=morality is a universal standard that applies equally? Or does it only appl when it benefits you.

You’ve repeatedly asserted that silence=support, and that you are free to draw any baseless, unsupported conclusions from my perceived silence. Yet somehow, for all the rage, vitriol, and expletives, you’ve essentially remained silent. You’ve not shown the specific racist elements to the tweets, you’ve not answered questions, you’ve not proven any of your claims.

I guess, given your ample opportunity to prove otherwise, that the explanation is that you can’t do any of those things. That you’d rather hide behind your anti-Christlike smokescreen of hate, vitriol, falsehoods, expletives, and rage than to simply do what’s been asked of you.

I pity your rage filled delusional ranting. I’d humbly suggest that you try some humility and embrace the grace you don’t seem to understand.

Craig said...

When Omar is silent when asked if she supports terrorist groups like Hamas and AQ, can we assume that her silence=support?

Craig said...

The vast majority of racist comments I see or hear or white liberals attacking black conservatives on social media.

I’m not extrapolating from this, I am not making any larger claims, I am simply pointing out the reality of what see.

Dan Trabue said...

I HAVE explained it to you. You just are choosing to not understand.

Or perhaps I'm overestimating you. Perhaps, because your conservativism is blinding you, and you're simply unable to understand what is obvious to most people.

If so, I'm sorry you're unable to understand. I pointed you to the data, told you about the reality, if you can't understand it, there's nothing else I can do to help you.

I'd just, again, point you to the black, brown, Muslim and other oppressed people whose oppression is being discussed. Listen to THEM. Humble yourself and listen to the voice of the oppressed. Listen to Jesus.

In the meantime, I'd suggest you just remain quiet so as to not further humiliate yourself.

Craig said...

“White Christians have a long and lamentable history of silence (or worse) when people of color are under attack.”

This is a quote from a CT article about prophetic voices, and it’s interesting. I think the whole “modern prophet” thing is worth discussion, but not here.

What this leaves out is that with the exception of Haiti, “white Christians” were responsible for ending slavery in the West. “White Christians” accounted for a significant number of the dead, maimed, or wounded soldiers in the US civil war. “White Christians” risked life, limb, and property to smuggle slaves out of the South. “White Christians”, matched in the Civil Rights marches in the 60’s.

Simply put, lumping all “White Christians” into one big group and assigning them relatively equal complicity is just simply an injustice to history.

I’m not suggesting in any way that “White Christians” are blameless or not involved in things like racism. I’m not suggesting that because doing so also mocks history. This blanket condemnation is simply wrong.

Who was a more prophetic voice in the cause to end slavery than William Wilburforce?

Statements like this, as well as flinging “racist” around incessantly make the discussion more difficult that it already is.

Craig said...

No, you haven’t explained anything. You’ve made some vague “listen to black and brown people” pablum that doesn’t address the specific elements of clear racism in the tweets.

I am listening to black and brown people. They’re not monolithic, some disagree with you. Those that do get called “nigger” and worse by people like you, while you sit silently by and say nothing.

Your very notion that “black and brown people” all agree appears to be a judgement based on “race” and skin color.

If you can’t answer the questions, give the examples, or prove your claims, then perhaps you should think before you speak.

For some “off the plantation” (their term, not mine), start with Larry Elder, and CJ Pearson. I’ll provide more later. Perhaps you should “listen to black and brown” people who disagree with you.

Trump's racist minions were mindlessly chanting it at his race pep rally.

Can you at least begin by recognizing that Trump and his supporters are clearly WRONG to do something so stupid?

Can you recognize that such chanting is un-American?

Can you recognize that such chanting is based on an embarrassingly stupid premise?

Can you recognize that it's against the rules to use such a phrase at work?

I just keep trying to believe you're better than you're make yourself sound, nor as clueless.

Craig said...

First, let’s clarify. You can’t point to a specific, explicit word or phrase that is objectively racist. Merely that some people perceive it to be racist. This “racist” phrase was said to white Europeans which seems to indicate that it’s not necessarily a race issue at all.

Beyond that, do you recognize that continuing to ask questions when you won’t answer the questions you’ve been asked is not a winning strategy.

Craig said...

This might be a good time to point out that your hateful, vitriolic, expletive laden, attacks on me are based on assumptions you are making that are driven by your prejudices.

Dan Trabue said...

First, let's clarify. I HAVE pointed to a specific phrase that is racist.

Second, you at least claim that you don't see it. Doesn't matter. It's still racist and has been for at least decades. That you fail to open your eyes and see doesn't mean that I haven't pointed the racist quote out.

Third, earlier, you quoted a decent article from CT. I'm wondering if you actually read the article. It's saying precisely what I'm saying. But instead of getting the point, you're using it to justify your continued defense of racists.

Read it again and do what it says.

"I sense a profound frustration among non- white Christian friends that their white brethren keep silent as the president aims ugly and demeaning statements at people of color. These friends don’t like what the silence of the white church is saying, and neither do we."

Stop with your silence and repent.

Dan Trabue said...

And, in case you miss the point of the CT article, they're saying we NEED the desert prophets out calling down curses upon the king and his dangerous, oppressive ways. Ws need much fewer of the tame, milquetoast court "prophets," and certainly none of them that are just tools of the oppressors.

Craig said...

The fact that you insist that a phrase that doesn’t mention race, has been used against white Europeans, and at best refers to country of origin is racist doesn’t mean that it is.

But, you’ve now changed from the phrase being “recognized as racially charged and discriminatory” to “is racist”, please pick one and stick with it.

I not suggesting that it’s not discriminatory (or that it could be), clearly it’s been used that way, but you still haven’t made to leap to “is racist”.

The fact that you choose to misrepresent the point I made from the quote, as well as the context I provided, suggests that you don’t care about much but bludgeoning people into submission.

Finally, as long as you are silent on the anti-Semitism from those you venerate, I just can’t take you seriously. Your inability to answer questions, prove your claims, or move past your prejudices, just makes it worse. Your blind insistence that anyone who doesn’t respond precisely the way you think they should is “evil” and “racist” is a shallow, simplistic, response that brings nothing but division and hatred to the conversation.

You continue to assert that “silence=support”, while pretending that it only applies to others. You continue to assume “silence”, without actually knowing.

In short, your hypocrisy is stunning and your myopic, prejudice driven ranting comes off as petulant and childish.

Prophetic is the last term I’d apply to you.

Dan Trabue said...

You have never provided one single, solitary so-called "anti-Semitic" quote for me to respond to. I don't tend to respond to swamp-gas or brain farts. Give me something to respond to and maybe I will. But first, do what CT suggests and abandon your God-damned silence. You are the man defending over racism.

Dan Trabue said...

Do you recognize that the CT article is directed towards people like you?

Craig said...

Part of the problem is that you are asserting that a phrase “is racist”. That without regard to the context, or the fact that racism is an internal state, the phrase itself objectively “is racist”.

I don’t think you realize how absurd that sounds.

Hell even “nigger” isn’t objectively racist in every context.

But if I tell my kid’s friends “Go back where you came from.”, I’m objectively racist. It’s a strange thing to see words being demonized without regard to context.

Of course, you’ll say that you didn’t mean it that way, yet your words leave little room for any other conclusion.

Which suggests that you’re less interested in precision, accuracy, or correcting behavior than in finding another weapon to attack those you decide are “evil”.

Craig said...

1. No, you miss the point. I’m saying that the whole “I’m an OT prophet” conversation belongs somewhere else. I’m also saying that I’m suspicious of people proclaiming themselves to be the equivalent of OT prophets.

2. Nice dodge. I didn’t ask you about specific quotes, I asked you a simple direct question which you still didge. FYI, I’ve given you numerous Hillary anti-Semitic quotes over the years you’ve just chosen to ignore them. Why not just answer the question asked?

3. What I recognize, is your continued parade of your prejudices.

Dan Trabue said...

Anti-semitism is bad. Of course.

The thing is, I have no need to state the obvious because anyone who knows me or has read my words should know that I think anti-Semitism is bad.

You and your people have enthusiastically supported a racist, lying, perverted sex predator so asking you all to step up and address yet another specific incidence of your evil king's evil is reasonable and necessary. As that CT article makes clear. But you appear to miss that point, still.

Craig said...

Good lord, it took long enough to pull that tepid condemnation out of you.

Ohhhhj Anti-Semitism is “bad”, but not “evil”, interesting. Is threatening to erase the existence of an entire nation because of Anti-Semitism “bad” or “evil”?

But thanks for demonstrating two of the major flaws in your whole series of rants.

1. The “anyone that knows me, therefore I don’t have to say anything fallacy. Clearly, given your active support of people who have made Anti-Semitic comments, the truth of this statement is drawn into question.

2. The “you and your people” fallacy. You’ve decided who “my people” are and decided that you can lump me in with “my people” based on nothing but your prejudice.

The facts are that anyone who knows me and who’s read my blog knows that I am not, nor do I support, racism. The fact is that you can’t prove your claim. You just can’t. It’s literally impossible for you to prove your claim.

Yet you don’t see the need to do things like prove your claims or answer questions, you just assert and act like that’s enough.

I’ll suggest one problem with your blind support of “the squad”. They’re all elected as legislators, that role carries with it the ability to effect change through the established system of government. Yet, none of these divas has actually bothered to legislate anything. All they’ve done is grandstand, butch, and piss off everyone including Pelosi. They’ve accomplished absolutely zero. Maybe that would be a better use of their time and our tax dollars.

Craig said...

Just watch all the white racists who flock to support Scherie Murray in the 2020 election.

Or is she one of the “black and brown” people you don’t listen to.

Dan Trabue said...

I said... "The thing is, I have no need to state the obvious because anyone who knows me or has read my words should know that I think anti-Semitism is bad...."

This is the problem that modern conservative have created for themselves (and this is an opinion voiced by many conservatives including Al Mohler and George Will...): the rest of us can no longer safely assume you are staunchly against sexual predators, racists, liars, cheaters, conmen or oppressors. Which, again, is precisely what the CT author is telling YOU, Craig, and people like you.

Sad.

Dan Trabue said...

Sort of ignorant and presumptuous of you to suggest "the Squad" have accomplished nothing. They've represented their constituents and our more progressive fellow citizens and yhay is significant. They've raised awareness on climate change and immigration issues which are significant matters to be dealt with. They've advocated for the children caged by Trump and his supporters, and, you know, generally spoken out in support of the least of these, which Jesus and his followers consider pretty damned important.

So, your claim is simply lacking in factual reality.

For the record, I'm not closely following the work of ALL our representatives, in general, nor the Squad, specifically. There's just not enough time in the day. So, I'm not familiar enough to say I'm a huge fan of theirs. I've seen some mistakes and possible mistakes on their part. But, I'd gladly trade any one of them for McConnell or Paul, my senators... especially McConnell who is an actively deviant waste of humanity.

Craig said...

The problem you have is that you insist that I take you as an individual and look at what you’ve said, then you do precisely to opposite with me.

The problem you have is that you were silent in the face of Hillary’s anti-Semitic comments, you did wholeheartedly support Hillary and the women’s march despite anti-Semitism. So it’s not obvious.

The fact remains, and you tacitly acknowledge it, that you can’t prove your claim that I am or support racism. You simply can’t. So, you lump me in with my “people”, and pull out the broad brush of prejudice instead.

In your stirring defense of the “accomplishments” of the squad, you can’t point to one single bit of legislation on those issues that’s even seen the light of day. So, I’d call legislators failing to legislate not doing their jobs.

Ahhhhh, the I’m ignorant defense. Well done.

Let’s look at some folx that modern Americas liberal politicians actively praise and (when possible) seek approval or endorsement from.

Margaret Sanger-racist
Louis Farrakhan- racist/anti-Semite
Che Guevara- mass murderer

Gotta go, more later

Dan Trabue said...

God damn your attempts to try to demonize someone from 100 years ago for unsupported and dubious claims of racism while continually giving a pass to YOUR president's active virulent racism.

From Dr. King...

"In 1966, Martin Luther King Jr. made clear that he agreed that Sanger’s life’s work was anything but inhumane. In 1966, when King received Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Award in Human Rights, he praised her contributions to the black community. “There is a striking kinship between our movement and Margaret Sanger’s early efforts,” he said. “…Margaret Sanger had to commit what was then called a crime in order to enrich humanity, and today we honor her courage and vision.”

Sanger was a product of her generation with some positions that are troubling to today's sensibilities (and rightly so), but the claims of racism are dubious and appear to be more demonization than fact.

I don't know of any active, dominant progressive types who are actively supportive of all that Guevara orFarrakhan represent. Typical hypocrisy from the conservative types who actively praise Andrew Jackson, in spite of his racist record or Reagan in spite of his war crimes.

Dan Trabue said...

For the record, the only reason I'm commenting so much today is I'm in a car on a long road trip.

Craig said...

Hillary has actively praised Sanger.
DFL politicians to this day look for Farrakhan’s endorsements and blessing.
Guevara is an icon for liberals, he’s a fashion statement.

But you can keep making excuses for the veneration of Sanger and denying her racism if it helps you avoid things like answering questions, proving claims, and misrepresenting me.

Clearly Dan didn't read this link below that I posted in an earlier comment above. Maybe he still won't read it now, because it blows his lies about Trump being a racist out of the water:

https://www.reddit.com/r/WomenForTrump/comments/4d03qn/lets_compile_a_list_of_prowomen_prominority/

When he's done not reading that, he can then not read this next one:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/swedish-pm-trump-ap-rocky-124656533.html

Of course, that he won't read these links isn't surprising, anymore than it's unsurprising that he didn't read the actual tweet he claims is proof of Trump's racism. Yeah...I don't for a minute believe he ever read it, and he certainly didn't read it before he began pretending he knew Trump tweeted something racist.

"Some 65% of the US recognizes the racism..."

This is unsupportable. At best one can perhaps say, "some 65% believes Trump is racist", but as the above links indicate, that belief is unfounded. It is, rather, based on nothing more than the desire to further demonize the guy. It's what we honest people refer to as "lying", or "bearing false witness", and that's some only grace embracing progressive christians do.

"...as do a vast majority of black folk..."

Yet this number is shrinking as black approval of Trump is higher now than it was when he was elected. In any case, it doesn't matter. Even if it's true that 65% believes Trump is racist, there still is this little problem of proof and evidence, neither of which there is for the charge. Instead, as I've pointed out, there is only hateful, fake Christians like Dan asserting he's a racist based on the flimsiest of "evidence". For example, anyone who criticized any policy of Obama was said to oppose him out of racial bigotry against a half-black man. So, if I were to have said, "Look, Obama's tie is crooked", Dan would call me a racist, simply because I criticized this half-black man in some way.

"Some racist comments are not so much the words but the context. If a white man says to a black man, "I bet you sho' nuff like yo' watermelon, don't you, boy?" THAT is racist."

But you gave no context. What if the white man was a 70 yr old good old boy from Mississippi who was speaking to his 30 year old adopted son who was on his third huge piece of watermelon? Would it be racist then, just because his son is black? And aren't you being a racist by framing the sentence in a stereotypical southern dialect? More importantly, in your typical desperation to draw a parallel between one thing and another totally unlike the first, your shameful attempt here does not in any way parallel the tweet. If some actual racist was speaking your words to harass some black dude, yes, it would be racist. But that is absolutely nothing like what the tweet said.

Marshal Art said...

The "go back where you came from" or the "go home" chant is also not racist. Such has been said to immigrants from Europe. It's been said to the Irish, the Italians. It's been said to Mexicans, Indians and Pakistanis. But because it was said to a black woman, you want to say it's racist. Again, we call that "lying". It's more closely related to the "America: Love it or leave it" meme that was described by that bastion of conservatism, Wikipedia, as follows:

"America, love it or leave it", a pseudo-patriotic slogan used against political activists, critics, dissidents and opponents in the United States. The precise origin of the saying is unknown, but it was first popularized by Walter Winchell in defense of McCarthyism during the 1940s and 50s.[2] It became particularly fashionable during the Vietnam War when it was frequently leveled against anti-war protesters[2], made its way onto bumper stickers and into country songs, and helped Richard Nixon become president.[3] Though its popularity and power have waned since then, the expression is still hurled from time to time in disputes over a variety of issues, like civil rights, climate change, foreign policy, etc.[4] Four progressive Democrat Members of Congress, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Ihan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, became the latest to be hit with the idiom when President Donald Trump and his supporters began targeting them with it in July, 2019."

You, Dan, are a sad source for determining the moral quality of any person, be it Trump or anyone else. You overstate his flawed character, while praising those who are in direct rebellion with the will of God. And through it all, you still won't answer the original question: where is the racism in Trump's tweet? Again, if you need to refer to it, here it is in its entirety:

""Progressive" Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worse, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don't they go back and fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it's done. These place need your help badly, you can't leave fast enough. I'm sure Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to work out free travel arrangements."

Copy and past the racist part.
