Ahhhhhh, the continuous double standard for left and right.

This meta analysis is interesting on many levels.

What could possibly go wrong by allowing teachers to spend more classroom time on issues related to sex?

"When Jesus says he identifies with the least of these, he means literally that when we encounter anyone on the margins we are meeting Jesus in the flesh, in their flesh."

I went to a RC wedding a couple of weeks ago where they served communion and it was obvious that they 100% believe that the bread and the wine literally become the body and blood of Jesus, this quote sounds like some weird form of transubstantiation that goes beyond the RC doctrine.

Another story for the liberal hypocrisy file.  It's clearly perfectly fine to relocate immigrants when liberals do it to set up a false narrative and hide reality to protect Biden.

"Inevitably, moral choices based on our own moral compass will often be wrong.  And wrong moral choices can result in consequences ranging from disapointments to major disasters emotionally, physically, and spiritually."

"America is at a crossroads at which the most energized faction of the Democratic party possesses values that are distant from those of ordinary citizens-the perfect opportunity for the GOP to pounce- but Republicans keep producing liars, nuts, dunces, and extremists."

From the Monitoring Bias Twitter account

I don't know that I'd totally agree with the above, but it's also not totally wrong.  This problem is compounded by folks who tell us that we must vote for these candidates and that to expect higher quality candidates means that we want the country to be destroyed.

The fact that someone thought that putting biological males with fully functional male genitalia/reproductive systems in prisons full of women was a good idea, boggles the mind.

---Dan has a new post where he ignores the double standard and pretends it was just a mistake. But how does a VP...with no plenary power...end up with classified docs in the first place? And it should be well know after the Hillary crimes which went unpunished, intention has nothing to do with the seriousness of the offense of negligence in the handling of classified docs. AmericanThinker had a good article about Obama being put in the middle to some extent, by having to choose between acknowledging Trump did nothing wrong and/or that he declassified the docs now showing up in Biden's office which had access by members of the CCP.

---"This meta analysis is interesting on many levels"...including the sexual. I wonder if it is somehow a means by which certain pervs favored by those like Dan can be said to have as immutable their perverse characteristics as one of sex or race. I haven't perused the entire piece (maybe you can respond to this), but it seems self-control can can be strengthened by self-determination. That is, "I know it's wrong and I will do only what's right." I finally quit smoking by a conscious decision to never do it again, and that's with a physical addiction, not a mental/emotional one. Seems other behaviors are just as likely to be overcome with conscious effort and the honest acknowledgement of right/wrong.

---I read of this CPS problem and it seems very likely that, as has been said before many times, the sexual abuse of minors throughout the public school systems has for years been far worse than that over which the Roman Catholic Church has been demonized and taken for granted as routine.

---While it is often said that God is within each of us, this quote seems to take it too far.

---I'd like to know what happened to those illegals. What did they do with them? Where were they sent? I'd also like to know why such effort hasn't been employed before and why it can't be directed to sending them whence they came, given how so few are truly refugees or asylum seekers who truly need our assistance. I know they can send them to Dan's house...packing as many as will fit within, while Dan moves to a lean-to in the woods so as to accommodate them.

---If only there was a Holy Rule Book one could follow rather than to fail to replace it with a personally devised moral code.

---All I know is, voting is a constant process of replacing politicians with better people where the current person has failed or, while being good at the job, is still believed with just cause to be inferior to a new guy. However, the GOP does have a bad habit of ignoring clear opportunities. But that doesn't give the lefties an excuse to ignore their own more obvious criminality.

---But they're historically oppressed!!!

I saw it. I had to note that it's the first time I can remember where he criticized a left leaning politician for anything in real time. I realize that he only did it to provide himself cover to blame the GOP for all sorts of evils, but he still did it.

The difference between the cases of Trump and Biden vis a vis classified documents is that VP Biden did NOT have the authority to declassify anything, while the president does have that authority.

Yes, the potential for the meta analysis is interesting. I can see it being used to put forth the argument that certain "races" have some genetic problem that affects their ability to control themselves, and that they should be excused from various behaviors because it's genetics. I agree that this further opens the door to legitimizing MA as just one more orientation.

Absolutely correct that the problem of sexual abuse/assault in schools is significantly larger than in the RCC. Of course, in schools that would include the school protecting students who engage in sexual assault as well as teachers/administrators/etc. But clearly introducing more opportunities for teachers to discuss sex with their students is going to make this problem go away. It also ignores that the CPS, and education in general, is wholly the province of the political and social left. Right leaning teachers are the minority, and the unions are wholly owned subsidiaries of the DFL. Of course, Chicago has been a left wing stronghold for decades, but it's not their fault.

Yes, that quote definitely alludes to some sort of transubstantiation or possession that goes infinitely beyond any rational reading of scripture.

None of those questions matter in the least. It is completely acceptable to sweep illegal aliens from the streets of a city and transport them to God knows where solely for the benefit of a Biden photo op. Biden has done absolutely nothing to deal with an immigration crisis that is at unprecedented levels, yet he stages this bullshit PR stunt to pretend as if El Paso wasn't full of people living in squalor on the streets, much like many other DFL controlled cities.

If only there was something beyond "everyone did what was right in their own eyes".

While there is no analogue on the right for the extreme/activist/left that is driving much of the policy in the DFL right now, it's not like both sides haven't been guilty of nominating idiots. What's disappointing is that the GOP is in a much better position to take advantage of this situation than the DFL, and they somehow can't find enough normal people to run.

And now they can sexually oppress women prisoners pretty much at will.

The above is a heartbreaking testimony which is relevant to the problem of public schools. My daughter is a high school math teacher in a less than tony suburb of Lake County, IL. She's spoken of the problem of students low-income, broken family and the struggles she has as a teacher to get through to them. Fortunately, she's generally well regarded by her students and is considered a favorite teacher by many of them...which says something given she teaches math.

What's needed to correct the problem in schools is the very things the left had eliminated and ostracized years ago, including a degree of corporal punishment for certain cases. But just discipline and high expectations alone can do wonders and do in charter schools. But most important are parents who truly love their kids and want the best for them, but prove it by themselves expecting the best from them. I can't thank God more emphatically that our three daughters were all strongly self-motivated to do well...all were A students with our youngest impressing her older sisters for exceeding them scholastically without sibling rivalry at all a factor.

Yet, after each kid left a school (except that they all went to the same HS), the quality of those schools fell due increased enrollment of students the left would praise as "diversity" additions.

"While there is no analogue on the right ...they somehow can't find enough normal people to run."

It's harder and harder to find anyone who's willing to go through all that's required to mount a campaign and win. The more intelligent don't see it as a worthwhile endeavor given the level of scrutiny and vile leftist attacks one must weather. Can't blame anyone for leaving it to others. But it just means we the people who care must pay closer attention and upon finding a good one, support that one strongly and enthusiastically...especially since the stupid people do that already for the worst people.

Art,

It seems clear that many of the problems in our schools and cities trace directly to leftist policies, and that we need to provide alternatives and freedom of choice for parents when it comes to schools.

I agree that the rectal exam that politics has become is a negative for many people. Yet, it seems like we need people to run who are strong enough to stand up against the crap, and have a clean enough background that there isn't anything to grab on to.

In most places in this country the choices already exist. What is needed is some way to have tax money returned or redirected for those eschewing the public school system in favor of those options. A strong economy would also permit parents to make the best choice for their kids, rather than default to the public system because of a lack of funds.

It's also important to remember that leftist policies can't happen as easily without leftist parents supporting leftist officials making those policies. The hardest thing is to convince such parents how they're responsible for the failures of the system they support as well as the failures of their own children within those systems.

"...it seems like we need people to run who are strong enough to stand up against the crap, and have a clean enough background that there isn't anything to grab on to."

More than "seems". We absolutely need such people, and the clean background, I think, would make it easier to withstand "the exam", as good candidates know they would find nothing to exploit against them.

I agree that the choices exist to some degree, and I agree that we need to be able to redirect tax dollars to help parents choose. It's strange that folx support the same leftist policies and politicians who are responsible for things being the way they are.
