BoT

This is absolute insanity, this is an indictment on the US education system, among other things.

But,...... The Science.   What a load of crap.

To hell with the empirical science and evidence, we've got the lived experience of black women to guide us into the future.

I sincerely hope that the GOP stays in control of the executive branch long enough to properly investigate this wide ranging and  pervasive fraud that has encompassed the MN state government.  I hope that heads will roll (figuratively), and the the MN legislature is going to have to find ways to pay back the billion(s) of dollars that the state allowed to be stolen.

This is the second time (I believe) that I've posted some similar stats.   As with the video above, this is absolutely insane.  That we know, with certainty, that we could significantly reduce shoplifting in NY (and other crimes nationwide) by removing a relatively small number of criminals from circulation, but choose the revolving door that allows these people a free hand to keep offending is beyond comprehension.   That various government officials (who's job it is to serve their constituents) have made the intentional decision to inflict increased crime on those they claim to serve (in the case of shoplifting they force increased costs and decreased convenience) seems like grounds for recall/impeachment.

For years the NEA has insisted that all we need to do to improve student performance is to throw money at school budgets, yet the data (especially from urban schools) doesn't bear that out at all.   Part of the problem is that the $30k/student goes disproportionately to administrators and bullshit as opposed to teachers and class rooms.   Part of the problem is that schools are wasting time trying to "trans" kids and teach them about anal sex, instead of reading, writing, and math.   Part of the problem is the transition away from physical books to electronic tablets and laptops, as well as the transition away from assigning books of literary merit.   Obviously part of the problem is parents and culture, which don't require any money to fix.   That the NEA (and other teachers unions) are content to muck around with pretty much anything other than doing their jobs, and that the union leaders make huge salaries, can't even be considered as pert of the problem.  I personally have reached the point of burn the whole system down, and start over.   That students in 2025 can't pass tests from 1925 and earlier suggests that there might be some flaws in the system.

Public education was bad long ago. In 1993 we finally pulled our kids out and began homeschooling. Our daughter was 10th grade and son 6th and it was the best thing we could have done.

“Climate Change” should be the name of a cult—false teachings, adherence to the teachings with ardor and faith, and attack those who disagree.

Your second and third and fourth links are the same one so I have no idea what the black woman had to say or what the politics are about.

Shoplifters keep up their practice because if they are punished it is very light.

Regardless of how much money they throw at education, it won’t improve as long as the NEA and their horrid ideologies rule.

We were fortunate in having good public schools while our kids were in school. As we have open enrollment, we certainly had the ability to move them if needed in addition to the non public options.

At this point the Climate Change folx certainly have some cult like characteristics.

Obviously criminals continue to commit crimes if they aren't punished.

Yeah, the education establishment sucks at this point.

That should fix the problem.

So a black woman's lived experience is important to science?!?!

Apparently it is more important than actual science...
