More evidence that this shutdown is simply a DFL strategy to get, through blackmail, what they couldn't get legislatively.

He then went off, pointing out that Democrats haven’t held a real presidential primary since 2008. “It’s always somebody’s turn,” he mocked. “You could have gotten Joe Biden out earlier, but you didn’t do it because you wanted her there because it was ‘her turn.’ In 2016, when Hillary had competition, Hillary Rodham Clinton. ‘Oh, it was her turn.’ When Biden was getting smoked [in 2020] in the primaries, before Representative Clyburn came and saved the day — ‘It was his turn.’ That’s my problem with the Democrats. That’s my problem with them. It’s always somebody’s turn!”

 "You forced Obamacare through 16 years ago while Republicans warned it would make premiums skyrocket?  “Yes Dave.” And then premiums skyrocketed? “Yes Dave.” Then under Biden you passed additional subsidies to pay for these high premiums? “Yes Dave.” And now these subsidies are largely corporate welfare driven by fraud? “Yes Dave.”  And now you’re shutting down the government to continue these subsidies?  “That’s correct Dave.”
