Not So (Sun) Fresh in KCMO

With all of the idiotic promises Mamdani are making about government run grocery stores, let's take a look at the reality of this concept in a city that has been run by liberals for decades, in a county that also leans left.

In short it was a massive and expensive failure.  Despite millions of taxpayer dollars it seems that theft, other crime, mismanagement, could not overcome the good intentions.    Strangely enough, when it comes to the schemes of the left, this is often the case.

George  Will is getting flak for saying that the voters of NY deserve exactly what they'll get if Mamdani wins.   I get what he's saying, and I don't disagree with the principle, but I don't think it's good for he US if NYC turns into a shit hole.

I also have to note that while Mamdani portrays himself as  one of the "oppressed" an "poor", the opposite is actually True.  He grew up wealthy enough to attend private schools and apparently needed 3 weddings.  One of those weddings appears to have been in Uganda, in a private compound surrounded by armed guards.  I guess that whole "defund the police" thing doesn't apply when it's his ass being protected.

Finally, it's germane to note that he's just one of many DFL politicians who've misled people about their  background.   Pocahontas, AOC, and Ilhan Omar are just a few who've cosplayed as something they are not for votes.

PS, Yes there are three links to three different sources covering the same story.   Given Dan's arbitrary bitching about only accepting stories from "real news organizations" (which he revers), I felt like more would be better.

Inherit the Wind is one of the best examples of a propaganda piece of art we've seen.  It's a highly fictionalized version of real events.  It is slanted toward one side of the argument, and presents the other side in a manner that significantly misrepresents the reality.   The article above provides some context to the films claims, and notes that the problems Bryan identified 100 years ago.

Sloppy Wet Kiss

Not since the "sloppy wet kiss" controversy of 2005, has there been a song that caused a similar amount of uproar in the worship music community.   Cory Asbury wrote Reckless Love and people went nuts.  I'll be honest, I wasn't a fan.  But I did realize that maybe, just maybe, it wasn't as bad as it could be.  Because from the perspective of a non believer, I can see how YHWH sending His one and only Son to die for our sins, and the image of YHWH leaving the 99 sheep to search for the 1 that was lost could absolutely seem like reckless acts.  Still not a fan.

But, what if there was one change (much like the "sloppy wet kiss" change to "unforeseen") what if, instead of

"The overwhelming, never ending reckless love of God"

it was

"The overwhelming, never ending, boundless love of God"?

It's the exact same message, without implying that YHWH is reckless.

What if?

Listen to L/G Voices

A note of caution.   This seems to be related to the stories going around that SCOTUS is going to overturn Obergefell.  This seems a bit premature.  It would require that SCOTUS actually choose to hear the case, and it's likely that Roberts and at least one other "conservative" justice would not vote to overturn if the case was heard.  Finally, there is still a preexisting law that would seem to prevent "gay marriage" from being done away with anyway.

Having said that, listen to the gays.   When they refer to the "alphabet mafia"' they're referring to useful idiots like Dan who simply repeat the Q+ narrative with no regard for Truth, accuracy, or harm.

"We tried to warn everyone. Even people in our own LGB community. But the cult didn’t care. They kept going after innocent children anyways. They kept fighting to set back women’s rights. They are the real cause of the serious degrading of LGB acceptance in America. When we got EQUAL rights, we were happy. We just wanted to be left alone. To live in peace, equally to everyone else! But then the alphabet mafia took over and tried making it all about them - forcing & demanding (and even SUING) for attention from everyone, forcing acceptance of mental illnesses, and started the downgrading of LGB acceptance everywhere! YOU went after the children. YOU went after women’s rights. The nation was overwhelming fine (for the first time) with the LGB until the alphabet mafia went way too far."

Watch this video and see how Chuck Schumer has repeatedly referred to a Long Island couple and their difficulties.   He's done this for years, excapt there was one missing detail.   The couple was MADE UP.  Schumer has been lying about this for years.  Much like Biden's greatest hits, lies he told right up through the end of his presidential campaign.  Apparently the DFL just doesn't value honesty in their leaders.

This probably won't get as much attention as it should, but the DC cops seem to support Trump's attempt to lower crime.

Seemingly the DC police chief doesn't know what the term "chain of command" means.

I'll have to dig a little, but it seems likely that the highly touted decrease in crime in DC is more related to prosecutors charging felonies as misdemeanors, and pressure on the police not to arrest criminals.

WTH?????

 https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/article/atlantic-premiers-address-frustrations-from-ban-on-walking-in-woods/

In Canada, a country that most would consider to be a free country, they've banned walking in public forests and will fine you at least $25,000 for doing so.

Free euthanasia, long waits for basic health care,  lies about the residential schools, punishment for peaceful protests, high costs of living, and more right across the border.

Canary in the Coal Mine

As I've posted a lot about the situation in the UK of late, and of examples of something similar happening in the US, I believe that Dan is confused about the purpose of these posts.  He seems to think that this is just me bashing on the "poor and oppressed" because that seems to be the only lens through which Dan sees things.

What I'm trying to do is point out a few things that should be obvious.

1.   I can think of no action that is more oppressive than rape even when that rape is carried out bt the "oppressed" against the "oppressor".  It's vile, it's wrong, and it could be viewed as part of a larger movement of conquest.

2.   When the rapes and other crimes are viewed in light of the rhetoric from these immigrant group  in which "Death to..." and language of the intent to replace the government of the host country with Sharia, it certainly changes the context.

3.  Islam is one of, if not the,  ideology responsible for the most conquest, oppression, genocide, and terror over the last few centuries.   It is absurd to pretend that Islam is not part of the "oppressor" class, and is really "oppressed".

4.  What's happening in Europe is a direct result of policies enacted and supported by the various liberal/progressive parties in control of various European governments.    Unregulated immigration, absurdly generous free stuff, a two tiered "justice system", and allowing immigrant enclaves to become areas where the legitimate government has no control, are all choices that have been made.   Those choices have consequences, which we are seeing play out in real time.

5.  Dan and his ilk, want to enact those same types of policies in the US.    Yet somehow they don't seem to comprehend that we can get a preview of coming attractions by watching how those policies work in Europe.

6.   When a member of a particular community/group is arrested for a criminal act, it is inappropriate to threaten violence against either the government or innocent citizens as a response to that arrest or conviction.  Further, any public expression of "Death to..." or threats to impose any different governmental system should lead to immediate deportation.

It's not that hard to understand, especially as we've seen the early stages of what's befallen Europe starting to play out in the US.  In short, any culture/nationality/religion/people group which does not understand the simple realities that certain behaviors are wrong/illegal should not be imported into the US.  If you think that it's acceptable to rape children, or impose a different legal system onto other countries, then you are not welcome in the US.   It's not about "race" or skin color in the least. It's about respecting and abiding by the laws of any country that might accept you as an immigrant and choosing not to overthrow the existing government.   It's a pretty low bar, yet this reasonable set of expectations seems too much for some.

In short, Europe has graciously stepped into the   role of canary in the coal mine, we should appreciate their sacrifice and do our best to avoid following them down this path.

What polling is suggesting is that actual Europeans are supporting the furthest right wing parties they can because they know that they have to regain some sanity in Europe.

Is anyone surprised at the demographic of these scum?

FYI, this applies to Canada as well.
