I just saw a preview of the new Sweet and Lynch song released in advance of their new album.
Michael Sweet is the lead singer/guitarist/songwriter for Stryper. Stryper as a band and Michael as an individual are very outspoken and up front about their Christian faith. Yet somehow, despite that unwillingness to compromise, Stryper is mentioned favorably by many different metal bands. And Michael has fronted Boston, partnered with George Lynch, and is in a side band with Doug Aldrich from Whitesnake. I think it’s cool that he/they are able to maintain their faith while also maintaining respect in an industry and genre that’s not particularly friendly to Christians.
