Well, this is quite the conundrum. It would seem that John Kerry (one of many climate hypocrites whose lifestyle belies his commitment to the cause), has identified a major problem. If we keep feeding people through our agriculture system, life as we know it will end because of global warming. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration.
One problem we have is that the places where our foods are grown in staggering amounts (1.65 Billion bushels of wheat, 15 billion bushels of corn, and 4.5 billion bushels of soybeans), are not particularly close to the places where high densities of people live. So, Johnny will need to find some "net zero" (which is a fiction) ways to transport those billions of barrels of grain to the places where they're processed (which also need "net zero" power), and then to the consumers.
The second problem is that farming is an incredibly low profit margin business. Forcing farmers to replace expensive machinery with more expensive (and so far unavailable) "net zero" farm machinery simply cuts margins even thinner or forces an increase in prices. Because adding more cost to our already rising costs for food is a great plan, right?
The third problem is that a significant portion of the "emmissions" from farming are 100% natural. The only ways to eliminate those emissions would be to kill off millions of head of livestock.
What I find most amusing about this story, is the complete lack of coverage by the MSM. The majority of the stories I found in my search were from advocacy groups who were either vehemently opposed, or 100% all in.
Maybe we should go back to horses and oxen to harvest our crops.

More stupidly is the notion that an increase in global temperature would have a negative effect on crop growth. That's absurd. Note that actual, literal greenhouses increase the temperature and amount of carbon dioxide to improve the quantity and quality of plant growth, and this boob thinks elevated temps will reduce it. The lefties are really stupid people.
