As always, Hanson makes a good point.   That the DFL's entire existence is based on the fiction that we can spend without restraint and "tax the rich" to pay for it, while ignoring that there will eventually be a massive correction, seems shortsighted.

There are a lot of fictions which form the basis of Dem positions and the actions which follow. And we have just recently been involved in a conversation wherein Dan balked at the expense of correcting the problems brought about by the policies of those he regarded as better choices for the voters than those like Trump or other conservative politicians. And that's weird given their lust for spending our money!

Evaluating policy based on empirical evidence is a good thing. Anyone who's watching CO right now can see how a city (Denver), and a state are happily moving downhill towards a disaster.
