"The victim and her family reported the incident immediately. The court sentenced him to only three years in prison, but the tribunal ruled that the rape "did not last long enough" to be considered an "exceptionally serious crime" and, therefore, did not apply deportation.
According to Swedish law, refugees can only be expelled if they commit a crime considered "exceptionally serious" or if they pose a "serious threat to public order and security."
In its ruling, the tribunal stated that, although the crime was serious, "the duration of the attack" was one of the determining factors for not considering it within that category.
"Rape, in many cases, is considered an exceptionally serious crime that could justify the deportation of a refugee. However, each case must be evaluated individually. Given the nature and duration of the incident, the court considers that it doesn't constitute an exceptionally serious crime that warrants deportation," the Court wrote in its ruling."
What in the hell is going on in Europe and parts of the US? How in God's name can anyone justify only 3 YEARS in prison for RAPING A MINOR? Let alone this bullshit abut it not being a "exceptionally serious crime" because it didn't last long enough. Since when is rape mitigated by the duration of the crime? Of course this animal is a "refugee" and they conveniently managed to tilt the scales of injustice so he didn't get deported.

Yeah, a Somali immigrant only got 12 years for kidnapping and raping a 12 year old recently.

In the UK, it is apparently normal to blame the victims when they are raped by Muslim immigrants.
I'm sorry but it you are part of the Global Left, and don't harshly condemn these miscarriages of justice and immediately call for immediate deportation for any immigrant who rapes ANYONE, let alone a child, how can you possibly claim any sort of moral high ground. Y'all made excuses for Hamas, and supported them as they raped and kidnapped innocent people and now this. If you've ever complained about injustice, and are silent on this epidemic, you simply have zero credibility on any issues of justice or morality.

I dunno, Craig. You're sticking your neck out criticizing the modern "do no harm" progressive, because of course they oppose rape of minors. And now you expect them to actually do something about it? Just where is your head at, my friend!
I know, it's crazy. To think that those who bitch, moan, and whine about justice would be offended by injustice is simply crazy on my part. To think that those who use "raping babies" as one of their stock examples of heinous behavior, would speak out in support of severe punishment for those who actually rape children, is obviously crazy.
I've argued elsewhere that I would suggest that rape is actually worse than murder. Given that fact that the murder ends the life of the victim, while the effects of the rape continue. Obviously, this would be worse for a child who's raped. Especially if it's multiple times by multiple men. But clearly the Muslim/Pakistani/rapist "do no harm" ethos doesn't apply to their victims. Just as clearly, the "do no harm" folx don't seem to consider the light punishment for these child rapists to be harmful.
My head is in full sympathy for the victims and full opposition to the injustice systems that further victimize them.
The rape didn't last long enough?!?!?! How long does rape need to be, i.e., how long does he need to stay inside?!?! This is about as outrageous as it gets. I'm tired of the world pandering to Muslims-- we need a new Crusade to send them all back to their place of origin.
Clearly this case in Sweden is simply an insane example of injustice to the victim. Maybe this means that "quick" murders are less serious. Simply deporting the worst of the criminals seems like a reasonable start.
Given the autocratic nature of this abusive administration and outright statements that he will be president again in 2028, in spite of the Constitution, I wonder if you fellas can step up right here and now and declare unequivocally that this will only happen over your dead bodies?
Or will that just be another fascist attack that you'll ignore?
Off topic, but I'm wondering if there's ANY atrocity by your president that will cause you to rebel.
What a strange and completely off topic comment on this particular post. Starting with the fact that there is not ONE SINGLE BIT of proof/DATA/support for the unhinged claims and conspiracy theories.
Also strangely enough, for an "autocratic" and king like administration, I somehow saw a fair amount of people protesting against Trump just last week. Now some of those protests were inappropriate (stabbing the Trump effigy), but they happened without any actual interference.
"Or will that just be another fascist attack that you'll ignore?"
As a general rule, I tend to ignore anything that is not grounded in reality and which is backed up with zero actual proof.
I'll simply note that you had the opportunity to join in the condemnation of actual injustice and governmental insanity, and you chose baseless, unproven, allegations and conspiracy theories.
Trabue proves that he is another fool who has know idea of the real meaning of the word, "fascist."
And I'd like to know just what atrocity has been done.
That is clear and has been for years. In this case, it sounds like Dan has his panties in a wad based on some report from some group that is convinced that Trump upholding the "no one is above the law" concept is fascism. As if the Trump trials (I just posted a clip of a DFL strategist admitting that the prosecutions were political) weren't exactly the kind of thing they're whining about now.
Is Trump reasserting the powers of the executive branch, absolutely. For too long the co-equal status of the branches has been skewed to the Judiciary for too long. The legislative has basically abdicated it's role and is more of an impediment than anything.
Once again, Dan can't take a stand for actual injustice and against child rape, but he's all in on conspiracy theories and avoiding reality.
It's strange how quickly and vociferously Dan jumped on the propaganda emanating from Hamas about the Gaza situation. How readily he believed that propaganda and how steadfast he was in condemning Israel. Yet, how silent he is when the propaganda is demonstrated to be false.
In the same way, he's vociferous in denouncing those who merely want to enforce existing immigration law in the US, yet silent on the results of the immigration policies and truth about how destructive they are, surfaces. He's occasionally willing to drop some vague, bland, general "I oppose all X", when pushed. But is almost never willing to address the specific examples of the policies he supports and their consequences.
Dan seems willing to accept a massive increase in rapes and an equally massive wave of injustice in punishing the rapists, because unrestricted immigration and diversity is worth the price in women's and girl's lives.
