This seems to be a bit of a trend. DFL candidates wishing death on their rivals. How civilized.

What does happen often is that people, when they are asked to value the real estate that they own, tend to over value it. It's not nefarious, it's not criminal, it's normal because emotion. When someone like Trump is applying for a loan with real estate as collateral, it's likely that they'll value it at the higher end of the range of potential values. Since Trump has additional real estate for collateral, it makes sense not to encumber any more than necessary to get the loan. On top of that, the banks appraise the collateral and won't make the loan if it's not sufficient.
What James did, is to simply lie multiple times in multiple places in order to get herself a better interest rate.

No, our elections are incredibly secure and our election officials shouldn't need to answer questions about election security issues.
3 comments:
1. The left is more violent than the right. The right is simply more dangerous and the left thinks it can handle the right being pushed over the line.
2. James, if found guilty of mortgage fraud...and I can't see how she couldn't be in a legitimate court of law (unlike those which convicted Trump)...should be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law given the hypocrisy alone.
3. Lefties can't answer such questions. It will expose their S.O.P.
1. It seems like there are two streams of violence on the left. There is the normal criminal violence that is a result of leftist policies (as we see with the recent rash of people with multiple violent felonies committing high profile crimes), and there is the violence that's akin to a child throwing a tantrum. Somehow they manage to make excuses for both.
2. I cannot see a circumstance where she's not found guilty. No one is above the law, and those who are charged with enforcing the law should be held to a higher standard.
3. Just like the VA governor candidate standing there in silence rather than to condemn the threats of violence by her running mate.
The breakdown of violence along political lines is interesting. I think that the right talks about violence in the sense of there being a point where violence is necessary. Whether this is in the sense of a large conflict or defense of one's self or others, I think that many/most on the right are prepared to resort to violence if it becomes necessary. This openness seems to make the left believe that the right must be violent because they are prepared for violence. This is not to discount those on the right that have engaged in violence, but simply a note that they are not celebrated.
As I noted earlier, there are two streams of violence that can be attributed to the left.
1. The general criminal violence that is being permitted, encouraged, or facilitated by left wing government policies. The revolving door of the justice system, bail "reform", lack of involuntary commitment, poverty, poor education, and the like. This is simply a refusal to acknowledge reality and take the necessary steps to curb this type of violence.
2. The political violence that has permeated the ASPL sine the '60s. This is the "peaceful protests" that turn into riots, the support of causes and groups that engage in violence, the "punch a NAZI" justification for violence, and attitude that their political opponents are "evil". It's shocking that 93% of VA DFL voters don't find death threats to be disqualifying for a candidate. The celebration of Hamas, Mangione, and Charlie Kirk's shooter, the recent trend of mass shootings, and years of threats of violence are becoming background noise. At one point, I'd have argued that they were using hyperbole and weren't serious. Now, it's clear that they are serious.
The ultimate problem with this systematic violence and violent rhetoric is that they believe that they are protected by the DFL and as such are untouchable.
Strangely enough, I suspect that most of this comes out of an inability to articulate a compelling case for their positions, combined with a degree of cowardice. It's clear that the violent left can be very aggressive, until met with force, at which point they start to complain and whine.
One can only hope that the left does finally repudiate those who engage in violence, and stop supporting them. They can start in the VA election.
But they won't.
