Who knew that”Muslim” was a race?
Who knew that it would ever be problematic for a Christian to view someone as a sinner in need of the saving grace of Jesus.

Biological males have advantages over biological females....
...when it comes to certain athletic endeavors. Shockingly 2 trans females beat the entire field of biological females for a state championship in track.
One of them told the losers they just need to work harder.

Nice job Coast Guard
Somehow, a whack job "white nationalist" managed to make his way onto the USCG and to rise to the rank of lieutenant before anyone noticed anything wrong with him. Fortunately he was discovered before he acted on his crazy plans. These types of fringe nuts don't help anyone.

?
Shocking. A conservative student is violently attacked by a liberal on a college campus in CA.
That’s your inclusive, tolerant, non violent leftistism in action.
At what point can we put a fork in this idealized version on leftism?

Trust
Someone I know pretty well is involved in a project to rebuild trust in the news media. I believe this to be a laudable goal and something worth the effort.
One thing I found interesting is that the distrust of the news media is virtually nonexistent at the local level, but very high at the national level.
However, one thing I've noticed on this person's social media feed is the fact that when the conservative national media does something that they find problematic we see posts about it. However, when the MSM goes overboard (Jussiegate, Covingtongate, etc.) we see nothing.
As someone who's undergrad education had a strong journalism focus, and who learned early that journalists should report the Who, What, When, Where, and How is as unbiased a manner as possible, I am all for anything tha helps the news media regain public trust.
I just don't think that slanting things in a partisan manner is a great way to accomplish that.

I just saw...
...an article about the Trump administration plan to work to end worldwide criminalization of homosexuality. This seems like a good move. While I believe that homosexual activity is a sin, I don’t believe that it should be a crime. Especially in the theocracies run by the Religion of Peace, where it is a capitol offense. It’ll be interesting to see how the pro gay crowd responds.

I can’t come up with a title
“If you have a small view of your sin, God’s grace will be small to you.“
Stupid lies
It has been claimed that people who tell “stupid lies” for political purposes are especially horrible people. If that’s the cast then the Jussie Smollett situation is certainly pretty far up the “stupid lie” food chain. I’m eagerly awaiting the folx who jumped on the “lynching” bandwagon as well as the “It’s Mike Pence’s fault” bandwagon to speak out loudly and clearly about how wrong they were. I’ll also be waiting for the news media to walk back the hysteria they’ve created.
Unlikely, I know, it’s much more probable that they’ll make excuses for the “stupid lie”.

This is a placeholder for a comment addressing the issue of inherent corruption as a gender stereotype
I've spent a little time with your studies and agree that it's in interesting question, and worthy of study. I'll do some research and see what else is out there. I do have some concerns though.
The Represent Women study is being put forth by a group that exists to advocate and work for getting increasing numbers of women elected which maybe positions them as a group with something to gain by providing research to support their position. Similar to Drs who do studies for tobacco companies. I'm not suggesting that the research is wrong, or flawed. I'm suggesting that it would be irresponsible to ignore the fact that they potentially benefit from certain conclusions.
The Wilson center report links to a number of studies that show mixed results and that at least one of the studies they cite is about "perceived" corruption rather than actual corruption.
The PsyPost references a small sample size study which concluded that it's not testosterone per se that is a problem, but that "those with higher testosterone levels for their gender tended to become more narcissistic and corrupt when put in a position of power.". Indicating that bot men and women with higher than normal testosterone "tend to become more narcissistic and corrupt".
This is not in any way to automatically negate the thesis. I think it's an interesting concept and worthy of study for multiple reasons. But so far, it looks like you might have established some degree of correlation, but not causation.
This is more than likely the only response I'll make here.

Prayers
I just found out this morning that the medical trip I've gone on before has been cancelled at the last minute due to rioting in Port Au Prince.
In general we should be praying for everyone involved and for the whole situation, we should also be praying for the people who won't get desperately needed medical care this week
Specifically, some good friends of mine (blanc) are in Port Au Prince as part of the advance team and are hoping that; 1. Delta doesn't cancel flights to TLO and 2. That they will be able to get seats on the 3:45 flight out.
It sounds like they are currently safe and that things are OK. Most of my friends who live in Haiti permanently are in the NW zone and not in any danger, but there are people who will likely travel miles to receive medical care that they won't be able to get until later this year due to the cancellation and lack of communication on the NW.

Understandable (FYI, this is about you Dan)
Dan’s been deleting a number of my comments recently, and it’s understandable why he’s doing it. I keep mentioning the fact that he won’t personally and specifically condemn the anti-Semitism in his political party as well as in the political movements he’s supported. Pointing out that he won’t do what he demands of others makes him uncomfortable in his sense of occupying the moral high ground, so it’s easier to delete the comments than to take a stand.
Dan, I understand why you’re choosing to act the way you are. I understand that you’re committed to a political philosophy that supports and endorses groups that engage in slavery, allow anti-Semites a platform, and kill innocents (children and adults), in our present enlightened modern day society. I understand that there’s a cognitive dissonance between killing of children that you accept and that you don’t accept.
There’s a meme that goes something like “Ask questions to hear the answer, not to simply respond.”, I’d add that asking questions to acquire ammunition in an argument is similarly problematic. Asking questions that you already know the answers to, simply to generate an excuse to delete comments and stifle conversation seems like bad faith.
Just know, that you’re welcome to comment here without fear of being deleted for answering questions.

Who would have thought
That it would be termed hypocritical to think that what should matter most when we support a political candidate is the “content of their character”?
Not “the color of their skin”
The arrangement of their chromosomes
Their musculoskeletal systems
Their brain function
Where they “fall” on some made up gender continuum
Their country of origin
The content of their character. What a radical, hypocritical idea.
FYI, if you’re going to demand that calling for the resignation of the bad apples in ones party is the price required to be taken seriously, then it’s probably a good idea to call for cleaning out your own house first.

There ought to be a term for that.
As we look at the implosion of the democrat leadership in the state of VA, there are a number of things one can choose to take from this current debacle. The one that is most surprising is the takeaway that concludes that the answer to the problem is to simply elect more women.
There is plenty about this simplistic notion that can be debated, but I want to focus on one acspect in particular.
The argument is based on age old gender stereotypes based on the notion of gender as fixed and binary.
Yet, we live in a world where that very concept of fixed, binary gender is under assault and the notion of making decisions based on these sorts of stereotypes is usually ridiculed. We live in a world where men and women are purported to have no fundamental differences. Where allegedly intelligent and rational folx are advocating that abortion should not be limited to biological females. A world where men who are "transitioning" to women, dominate athletic competitions against women who's biology puts them at a physical disadvantage. Where we see ads that espouse "girl power" and programs to encourage girls to enter careers that have traditionally been "male' careers.
Essentially, we have people who want to cling to old, outdated, binary gender stereotypes when those stereotypes will help them to advance their agenda, yet who argue that the stereotypes and the very existence of differences between genders don't actually exist. What they want is the ability to argue opposite positions depending on which side is advantageous at a given moment, while simultaneously arguing the complete opposite position in a different context.
Clearly, in the real world, two opposite ideas can't be true simultaneously, yet that what some folx want.
We need a name, or a #, that describes these folx without having to go through this lengthy explaination.

Interesting point
If, as is a popular position, drugs and other contraband don’t come in where physical barriers exist, then wouldn’t that be an argument in favor of physical barriers? If we can “ignore” the areas where barriers are and focus where they aren’t then it seems like that would allow our border patrol to be more effective and efficient because they can focus on areas with more likelihood of illegal activities.
How?
If She Guevara gets her way, how will the billionaire elites flock to Davis every year? Will they take the transoceanic trains? Or the QE? Hell, after taking all their money to rebuild (or retrofit), every single structure in the entire country, will billionaire elites even exist?
I’m guessing that her Shiad against cows will cost her support from PETA and Hindus?

Which is it?
“Believe all women.” Or “F$&@ that b:;&h”.
The messages from the political left can be confusing.

Any minute now.
Just wait. Hold your breath. It’s going to happen right away. Almost ready.
Soon the outrage over the horribly racist picture of the VA governor in black face will sweep the nation and the cries for his political head will build to a fever pitch...
