Stupid lies

It has been claimed that people who tell “stupid lies” for political purposes are especially horrible people.  If that’s the cast then the Jussie Smollett situation is certainly pretty far up the “stupid lie” food chain.   I’m eagerly awaiting the folx who jumped on the “lynching” bandwagon as well as the “It’s Mike Pence’s fault” bandwagon to speak out loudly and clearly about how wrong they were. I’ll also be waiting for the news media to walk back the hysteria they’ve created.

Unlikely, I know, it’s much more probable that they’ll make excuses for the “stupid lie”.

“Jussie Smollett for still unknown reasons intentionally pitted Blacks against Whites, Gays against Straights, and of course Democrats vs Republicans.

Who enjoys creating that kind of chaos?”

Apparently a lot of people from those communities. I don't believe I've ever heard of a right-wing parallel, but there have been many race and homosexual hoax stories. In a way, it's a more specific grievance under the general umbrella of cheesy leftist attacks on the right-wing. Look how our own two "progressives" continually assert all manner of evil flows from the two of us. I think it's simply a default tactic now.

I will just stop to comment here on the obvious: OF COURSE, it's wrong. It's especially horrendous to fake a rape or a racist attack or otherwise fake or lie about oppression of oppressed people because it undermines the actual problem. I'm still waiting for all the details to be unfurled, but if it's true that it was faked, it is atrocious.

Of course, you should be able to know this about ALL progressives.

I remind you:

Really, all progressives? How about the ones who called it a “lynching”? The ones who blamed Pence? The ones all over social media? Ellen Page? The Hollywood types who made a commercial?

Even now, you still can’t bring yourself to specifically condemn and specific person on your side of the aisle who does anything.

You always what to hide behind other people, no spine.

As usual, you’re welcome to comment with no fear of capricious deleting or false excuses for deleting comments.

FYI, I love your wimpy “I’ll wait until...”, that’s a first for you or most other libs. Too bad y’all defamed a bunch of kids for nothing.

I don’t know that a judgement here has been rendered by Craig, myself or anyone except to say the investigation seems to be heading that way. It is, however, fair to say that it is rather common from those who should know better given the legitimate suffering of those who are also black, homosexual ...or women. And it seems to be unique to leftists.

Clearly final judgment will wait until he’s charged or not. The problem is we continually see those on the left jump on some event before all the facts are known and use it to further their agenda no matter what the facts are. This and Covington are two great examples. Once the facts go against y’all, no one ever seems to acknowledge that reslity.

It’s what happens when prejudice rules over reality.

Elizabeth Warren also has a track record of “stupid lies”, but no one seems to be suggesting she shouldn’t run fir President.

Craig said...

To make myself clear. I’m not suggesting it’s ever appropriate to tell “stupid lies”, I’m just suggesting that if you only call out “stupid lies” on one side of things that it looks bad.

This post is about “stupid lies”.

Craig said...

And those who spread them.

There are stupid lies and there are serious lies. We get both from the Democratic party all the time. The problem is that their constituency believes them and thus doesn't acknowledge that they lie at all. And they tell such egregious lies as well that do far more damage than any a staunch lefty could demonstrate has resulted from a Trump "lie". They don't even make the attempt.

Craig said...

Of course too many believe a lie if it’s told often enough.

Maybe Dan will swing slightly toward the Smolett is guilty side of things soon.

Marshal Art said...

Nah...he'll just let the story fade away without any comment.

Craig said...

No, he’ll come out and say that we have to wait until he’s convicted at trial and exhausted all his appeals before he’ll admit to reality. He’d have to admit that a gay, black guy did a no-no.

In all seriousness though, think of all the police resources wasted investigating this lie and what they could have been used for instead.

I also love the Jussie defenders trotting out the “Chicago PD” is a bunch of racist, homophobe, liars trope. Which political party runs Chicago? What president did the mayor work for?

Craig said...

Maybe they should have turned the case over to the cops I saw on TV last light. They wer Chicago PD and seemed like they were really good cops. I bet they could have handled this pretty quickly.

It is amusing to see the creative excuses people come up with to excuse this moron.

Smolett’s problem with the political left isn’t that he’s a lying fraud, it’s the fact that he got caught.

Just saw a video with CPD honcho Eddie Johnson speaking on the arrest of Smollet. If I can, I'll post it here. Johnson isn't considered "the best of the best" by many cops in Chicago, but his statements to the press regarding Smollet was spot on.

What is it about the political left that causes them to do stupid things.

We've seen multiple faked hate crimes.

We've seen blacks burn down and loot black owned homes and businesses to protest false narratives.

We've now seen some idiot burn down his own freaking house because, transgender. Seriously, this guy burned down his own house, with his own pets inside, and we hear crickets from most of the left.
