In Cleveland Texas we just had an incident where a man and his family were shot for asking their neighbor to shot firing his gun in his yard. His response was to execute 5 people. This story will likely fade pretty quickly from the MSM and from the left wing types who like to capitalize on shootings to move their narrative forward. One reason why this case will fade from view is that we know the identity of one party with significant responsibility, and no one will want to have that conversation.

Oh no, Craig! This story is driving a lot of coverage. Much of it over the fact Abbott reported the victims as also being illegals. The horror! Now the left are screaming upon learning "at least one" victim is a citizen, ignoring that the rest weren't. There's no particular significance to their status as citizens or illegals compared to them being dead at the hands of a repeat offender illegal. But the left are more concerned with Abbott's faux pas, which has been corrected and regret at the mistake rendered. This whining does demonstrate how little the left cares for victims of any crime or "oppression".

I'm not seeing much coverage in the MSM, nor are the usual suspects of social media harping about it the way they did about the KC shooting. The problem is that as long as the incident doesn't fit the narrative, it'll get swept under the rug by most of the APL and MSM.
It is getting coverage from other media outlets.
