For all those whining about ICE being "fascist" and protesters/rioters/those interfering getting hurt, I have an exquisitely simple solution.
First, local and state LE need to cooperate with ICE and honor legal detainers and deportation orders. Doing this in the controlled environment of a jail facility means two ICE agents taking custody of a prisoner. It eliminates the need for 10-20 ICE agents out in the streets trying to find criminals who are hiding/being hidden. There might be some instances where this is necessary, but not as many.
Second, protesters need to protest only. Stop the interference, rioting, blocking streets, engaging in battery against LE and bystanders, doxxing LE, or attacking people that you mistakenly ID is LE. This will minimize the chances of encountering non lethal crowd control measures. Oh, keep the small children at home.
Third, publicize the names and crimes of those detained. Let people know who and what they are trying to protect and let the rest of us understand that removal of these people will ultimately make our cities safer and better.
It's really not that hard to allow LE to rid our country of criminals, and for protesters to protest against removal of criminals.

All great ideas I've recommended myself...because they're actually good ideas, not because I've recommended them. The one issue is listing the crimes of those detained and deported. This will cause problems with the DMPs when the only crime listed might be their illegal presence. I caught Tom Homan's presser today and he reiterated the plan had always been to focus on the worst first, but not solely. If, in taking into custody a violent criminal illegal, and while doing so it's discovered others present are here illegally, though the haven't committed any other crime but to enter illegally, they will take them into custody as well. It's always been this way and no one here illegally should be allowed to stay.
Note: a confirmed refugee or asylum seeker is not here illegally until such time as what made them either has been resolved.
First, I'm going on the premise that we start with the worst and go from there which should mitigate some of that concern. Plus they have a short attention span and will move on soon. The answer for those who are just here illegally is that the due process for that violation of US code is deportation. They're getting exactly what they should be getting.
You are correct, although as I've noted elsewhere, the refugee/asylum system is being misused and a lot of them will probably get sent back eventually.
Despite Dan's insistence that they're all refugees, many are just working the system.
Based on Homan’s comments, it sounds like MN is caving and allowing ICE into jails to some degree.
Now back to the fraud.
