When asked why her campaign lacked references to LGBTQ+ rights despite saying she supports them, Chaudhry replied: "Because a lot of Muslims do not feel that way, unfortunately." She also said she was "careful about her Muslim constituents." The comments sparked backlash from Washington Stonewall Democrats, whose chair, Andrew Ashiofu, said: "Our community is not expendable. LGBTQ+ rights are not optional. They are foundational to any candidate seeking Democratic support." Chaudhry later sought to reassure LGBTQ+ voters, writing: "If you are queer... your rights are safe with me." She also pointed to her sister, who is in a same-sex relationship, and said she has LGBTQ+ friends. Muslims make up around 2% of the Seattle metropolitan area, while approximately 17% of adults identify as LGBTQ+."

Typical. And it shows a distinct lack of concern for the feelings and sentiments of Christians and Jews, as well as atheists who acknowledge homosexuality as the disorder it is. Moreover, it illustrates what was "prophesied" when the activists began their push to legitimize their immorality: that the Constitutionally enumerated rights of the faithful will be subordinated to the fictional "rights" of the disordered. Now, this fool is trying to negotiate this conflict which is made manifest due to the aggressive willingness of the muslims to oppose the activist agenda.
It's not like this candidate, in this area is trying to appeal to Christians an Jews or anyone else of sense. It's pure, naked, pandering and fear. She desperately wants the Muslim vote, but knows that trying to appeal to the ABC folx will expose her to danger, either real or electoral. It's a cynical attempt to take the ABCs for granted. Voting blocs are disposable to the DFL, they'll suck every vote they can out of a group, then discard them as the focus on the next group. They'll expect the discarded groups to vote for them, but won't actually do what they've promised. It's cynical, amoral, naked, political pandering.
