An interesting exchange. I can't help but wonder if this is a sign that the "trans" folx are the next interest group to get thrown under the bus by left wing political parties once they outlive their usefulness.

That would be a good thing. Then they can move on to another letter of the Alphabet Mafia and reverse course with regard to those claims as well.
The modern DFL simply takes various and increasingly fringe interest groups, uses them for political gain, then dumps them while moving on to their next victim.
Much like progressive christianity is moving through all of the mainline denominations, removing every historic doctrine or distinctive, and wearing the empty shell like a costume. They want the validation that comes from the brand name but don't want what the brand name actually stands for.
