Last week or so, I posted about the Ramsey county sheriff getting blasted for simply discussing the reality that Somali gangs commit a lot of crime. Yesterday, there was an active shooter incident at a park in Edina (the bouguie suburb) which involved around 50 Somali youth and approximately 21 shots fired. Strangely enough, this hasn't gotten very much coverage on the local news at all. I heard about it from a friend who's kid was at the park, and had to search around to find out any information.
It must be nice to have the media, government, and local society willing to stay quiet so as to not offend Somalis by telling the Truth.
In the past week this brings us to at least 4 significant events of public violence in the metro. Two mass shootings in MPLS, One (depending on your definition) mass shooting in STP (3 dead) and the shooting spree in Edina.

I don't understand why the obvious is ignored. If any of the shooters/gang members are recent immigrants, these events indicate they're in breach of the terms of immigration and must be deported. If they came by virtue of their parents bringing them, the parents, too, are in breach for not controlling their offspring.
If we look at these events in terms of percentage of the Somali population, I would wager it's higher than the general population. They should be regarded accordingly as too great a burden on our nation to permit their immigration here.
I see two reasons why it is suppressed, not ignored.
1. The implied threats of more violence against those who tell the Truth about what is going on. The response to the Ramsey county sheriff (STP, probably the second most populated county in the state) for addressing the increase in Somali gang violence is probably enough to shut most people up.
2. To acknowledge the reality of Somali violence in the cities is to tacitly admit that the failure of importing Somalis en masse ti the area.
Obviously we should be seeing deportations for Somali criminals, yet local leaders have no intention of deporting voters and stirring up more violence.
I'd be happy if our local leaders would arrest, try, and deport the criminal Somalis who are responsible for the violence for a start. That alone would be a great step in the right direction. But they won't because they're afraid of more violence and/or losing votes.
