News and fake noose

First, it’s been reported that Chauvin is a Democrat.   Unconfirmed, but wouldn’t be surprised.

Second, apparently after a big demonstration of solidarity and a 15 agent FBI investigation we learn that the noose that caused so much uproar had been there since 2019, and wasn’t actually a noose, as much as a loop in the rope to pull down the garage door.

“I spoke with someone connected with NASCAR this evening who is furious with NASCAR's Steve O'Donnell. He said it was obvious to anyone who saw it that the rope was a pull cord, pointing out the handle was clearly fashioned for a hand and "might could hang a Barbie doll."”

I heard a report that investigators found it had been hanging in that garage for years. Clearly someone saw an opportunity to stoke the flames of victimhood.

I applaud how quickly the NASCAR community rallied around Wallace, it was a good look for them.

Wallace continuing to insist that this was a "noose", isn't a good look.

If systemic racism is so pervasive, why do we keep seeing people having to invent racism where it isn't.

All this sort of thing does is diminish the impact of crying "racism".

Art,

It probably is more accurate to say months rather than years.

I wonder why NASCAR can't afford garage door openers.

Clearly, at this point, any rope (or rope like object) hanging from anything, is going to trigger someone. It's time to push for common sense rope control laws. We can't have people just hanging ropes anywhere, from anything, it must be stopped.

The first report I heard suggested a longer period of time than sometime last year, which is what I heard today.

So first we had exercise straps being called nooses, and now a piece of rope for pulling down or securing a garage door. Clearly, the race-hustlers are gaining ground. Frederick Douglas would be so proud.

It's clearly an attempt to make more of these things than there actually is.
