The Ideology of political murders graph has been getting a lot of play from those who desperately want to obscure the fact that political violence should be measured by something other than murders, and that the trend in politically motivated murders is swinging left.
So, let's look at some of these "right wing" murderers.
Mauricio Garcia
If the ADL acknowledges that h e didn't undertake hsi rampage for ideological reasons, why would Cato?
Robert Aaron Long.
Blamed massage parlors for hiring hookers.
Robert Justus and Steven Carillo were convicted of shooting a cop during the Summer of Love riots. Remember that the slogan on the left during the Summer of Love riots was "defund the police". But definitely a couple of right wing extremists.
Sai Kandula.

"Defense attorney Scott Rosenblum said Kandula was suffering from schizophrenia and was overwhelmed by delusional thoughts, including his belief that “a reptilian race had installed a puppet regime to operate the U.S.”
“He’s amenable to treatment, understands its necessity, and recognizes an illness produced the acts that led to his current circumstances,” Rosenblum wrote."
"After Kandula's arrest, two psychologists diagnosed him with schizophrenia, according to Rosenblum."
It couldn't have been his mental illness.
Linda Mueller and Daniel Courney are on this list for peacefully protesting at an abortion clinic.
I want to note that there are many on the left who desperately want the shooter who attacked the MN legislators to be a "right wing extremist". On some level I understand their desperation. Unfortunately from what we've seen so far, there is simply nothing that makes that connection directly, Aside from it being unlikely that a "right wing extremist" would accept multiple nominations from a DFL governor to serve, his manifesto and what was in his car don't paint a clear picture. Well, it might be a clear picture of mental illness, but not much more. Maybe we'll find out more when he goes on trial, but for now, it's a solid unknown.
You'll get no argument from me that political violence, in any way shape or form is wrong. However, to limit the measure of political violence to one metric, and to seemingly stack the data to one side seems unhelpful at best. To ignore violence, threats of violence, and actual destruction as a measure of political violence seems problematic. Let's find someone who's unbiased to look at the data going back to the '60s and do a fair analysis counting all types of violence and threats of violence.
