This

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'Liz Wheeler @Liz_Wheeler X.com Charlie's s daughter tried to run to him after he was shot, she was afraid of the noise, per reports. If that's true... There's not a red-blooded human in America with an in-tact soul who won't reject the Democrat Party for what they have done. Christ have mercy'

First of all, this shooting is a tragedy, as is all violence and acts of harm.

With that said, the "Demoratic Party" did not do this. The shooter did and we do not yet know the shooter's motivations. As a simple point of fact.

It MIGHT be the case that inflammatory accusations contributed to this shooting. We don't know that, yet, but it might be the case.

But, IF inflammatory speech and accusations did contribute to this instance of violence,

1. Inflammatory accusations are and have been coming from the GOP for some time now

2. Including from Trump and the late Mr. Kirk. Significantly.

3. The unsupported suggestion that the Democrats did this is, itself, dangerously inflammatory speech.

Yes, Christ have mercy on the soul of Mr Kirk and his dear family.

And Christ have mercy on the Democrats shot and killed in Minnesota three months ago.

And Christ have mercy on the immigrants, women and LGBTQ citizens who are being actively harmed by malicious accusations and slander and policies.

It's not enough to have regret when it's only someone you care about gets harmed.

Can you link to the original? The whole right side is cut off. Or you can edit to pull it in a bit so the side is seen.

Sadly, I went to Wheeler's X page and couldn't find this. The right side of the comment is cut off. Can you fix this or tell me how to find it?

Blogger is strange with pictures like this. I'd prefer them larger, but Blogger doesn't accommodate the size increase. hope this helps.

Dan starts out strong with the vague, bland, milquetoast "condemnation" of "all violence". He just can't bring himself to offer specific condolences to someone like Kirk.

The DFL did not actually "do" the shooting, yet they did lay the rhetorical foundation for this sort of political/religious assassination. After years of referring to their political opponents as "NAZIs", "evil" and the like while making violence against "NAZIs" acceptable, the DFL and folx like Dan do bear some responsibility for the political climate we're in. Not the entire responsibility, but also not free from responsibility.

Couple that with the profusion of people across social media expressing glee about this shooting, and the DFL/ASPL does not have clean hands.

1. "Inflammatory" comments have been a pert of US politics from the beginning of the republic. "The GOP" did it, isn't an excuse.

2. Look, Dan jumps on the "they deserved it" bandwagon.

3. The inability to comprehend that the reason why people will reject the DFL in greater numbers is NOT because the DFL actually assassinated Krik, it''s because of the response you fucking idiot. It's the gleeful celebrations because of this brutal killing.

I (and a vast number of GOP/conservatives) immediately expressed sympathy, shock, horror, and condemnation of the MN shootings. We didn't fucking celebrate, and flood social media with laughter and joy. We didn't have members of the MSM making excuses for the MN killings, nor did we have people saying that they deserved it.

The problem, as Dan regularly demonstrates, is that he does not have or show regret when someone who he considers his political enemies get harmed. He's more concerned about imagined harm than real harm.

The accolades pouring out for Kirk from people who he allegedly hated or was against is amazing. But all Dan has is "he asked for it".

It seems germane to note that Dan only has "mercy" for those "shot" or who fit in his pet demographic groups. An innocent woman stabbed brutally on the subway, he doesn't give her the time of day. Those raped, beaten, and killed by illegal immigrants, not a shit given. Kids killed by "trans" shooters, again no shits given.

Dan's vaunted "moral" superiority has gotten exposed for what it is since 10/7.

Since Dan brought it up, I'll note that the equivalence between the MN legislator shooting and the Kirk shooting is (based on what we know with a high degree of certainty) flawed beyond the lack of GOP celebration and glee after the event. The simple fact is that the motives of the shooter are not, by any standard, cut and dried. If the shooter was truly a rabid Trump supporter, the MSM would have covered that 24/7. But the fact that what's been released don't allow for that kind of cut and dried conclusion, has led to silence from the MSM. I think that his writings and statements strongly suggest mental health issues, which may be the defining factor in any conclusions about his motives.

As we've seen, crimes that don't fir the "white, extremist, conservative perp" narrative get buried quickly in the MSM, and the MN shootings have been. It's possible that I'm wrong, and I'll gladly admit that when proof arrives, but so far the equivalence just isn't really a good one. Which is probably what desperate leftists have clung to it.

How are these people being harmed? By people telling them the truth about them? Illegals have no business being here and should be deported. Women are being harmed by the LEFTIST "transgender"" allowing men pretending to be women into women's private spaces as well as being allowed to compete in women's sports and always winning! LGBTQ citizens are harming the culture with their sexual anarchy--pure anti-God perversion of sex.

The MN shooter sent a note to Kash Patel, offering to give himself up to Patel and to be imprisoned in another country for his own protection. What I read does suggest potential mental delusions, it isn't overt. The dude worked for Waltz, supposedly was even appointed by Waltz, and also allegedly was found with distinctly leftist materials in his car. Dan insists he was a right-wing extremist...and pro-lifer...though I've found nothing in a brief period of research which backs that up.

I saw a meme listing about a dozen violent acts supposedly by Trumpers. I believe this MN assassination was among them, though I won't swear to it at this point. It did list the attack on Pelosi's husband, and I've never heard anything that this dude was a Trump supporter (and again, among his possessions was evidence to the contrary). I believe the Whitmer kidnapping was listed, without any reference to the now known involvement of many of Biden's FBI/DOJ people among the "conspirators", who apparently needed encouragement by the federal plants.

I'm sure I could find most on that list were not Trumpers at all, because it is so common for the left to immediately assume a shooter...mass shooter or otherwise...is likely a conservative as if there's any legitimate basis for presuming that's most likely. We're seeing the opposite is most likely.

I hadn't heard that, but it reinforces the mentally ill side of things.

Most of that crap is simply the result of fantasies.

That is so inane that I didn't see the point of responding. But, obviously, on one level we want Christ to extend His mercy to all of us who are sinners. What Dan seems to be suggesting is that this mercy includes allowing complete license for any behavior.

Dan needs his persecution narrative to remain sane. Unfortunately, it's too late for that.
