Trump is doing two things that many on the left should support.
He’s pulling troops out of Syria and signing a crime bill that will adjust sentencing for non violent offenders.
I’m guessing that very few will be able to put aside their hatred of the man to honesty evaluate the actions.

I haven't followed the crime Bill closely, but it sounds like a good thing from what I have heard so far. Or at least a step in the right direction. So good on Trump for signing that.
As to the Syria pull out, that's probably a good idea, Trump's handling of it is exactly ass-backwards wrong. He unilaterally and without advice from others, it appears, just decided to do this.
He declared "we won!" without support from experts and it's just the silly, childish, Whimsical way he's handling that is precisely what's wrong with this Administration. Or at least, one thing that's wrong with it. We do need to listen to experts. This is just another example of him not listening to experts and acting in the "name it and claim it," Norman Vincent Peale say things to make them real empty-minded sort of way.
Interested that even when he does thing you agree with, you have to find ways to find fault.
I personally find it hard to believe that you’d agree with the “experts” and support remaining involved in the Syrian civil war, but I guess it’s possible.
I guess the fact that you have anything remotely positive to say about anything involving Trump is a step in the right direction.
And again, I'm sorry you're not understanding my points. I tried.
You’re right, I misunderstood you complaining about Trump doing things you agree with zinc a way you don’t like. Unfortunately for you, you’re bitching is clear for all to see.
It's a prison reform bill, and it's loaded with problems with a few good things thrown in. I threw together a post on this issue at my blog.
They Syrian pull-out was done in pretty much the same way that Obama pulled troops out of Iraq...against the best advice of those who know best and for political reasons. It stands as a legitimate argument against Trump as president, rather than all the frantic, desperate and insignificant complaints about him we hear from haters like Dan.
We have about 36 military bases and outposts scattered around the world, with of course most of them NOT being in the Middle East. Their presence in each serves American interests, and this is the case of the Syrian base now being closed. To abandon our presence leaves a void sure to be filled by our enemies such as Iran and Russia, if not others as well. Allowing the influence of bad actors to spread around the world endangers us and our allies. I don't mind bringing our people home. I mind doing it for the wrong reasons.
