She said, "What you will see today will be the closest distance that the Moon has ever been in the last 20 years, which means that's why they will shut the light down because they will be close to the Earth, which is an amazing experience. You will be able to tell because there will be complete darkness."
Of course this is all "the republicans" fault. What with their focus on things like Truth, accuracy, and science. Y'all elected this idiot, and y'all wanted Mrs "The first amendment strangles the government" on SCOTUS, don't complain when they serve up this stupidity this easily. Hell, Lee even posted her stupid speech herself.

I would say this is a perfect example of the results of our public education-indoctrination system. Oh, but she now claims she just "Mis-spoke). This woman consistent demonstrates he abject ignorance and that she is unqualified for the position she is in -- aside from being a racist. She only got voted because of two very important LEFTIST qualifications--she's black and she's a woman. Oh, and if you disagree with her or think she lacks common since, she calls you a racist.
Jackson Lee is evidence of why it's so difficult to identify the stupidest person in the Democratic Party. Of course the Democrat voter is the worst given who they elect to whatever office, but of those elected officials, the choice is next to impossible to determine.
After reading the what she actually said, her claim that she was misinterpreted is even stupider than her original astronomy lesson. She's an idiot, a product of the public schools, and only has her current position because of her race and gender.
When people base their vote on things like skin color/gender instead of competence, this is what we get. Politicians reflexive ability to blame others for everything is a vile trait.
