For some reason a food bank in MN, which receives state and federal funds, though it was appropriate to pay their CEO over $700,000/year. Think of how many hungry families this greedy CEO's salary could have fed. Think of how many more lower level employees could have been hired or how much more existing employees could have been paid. For all of the bitching the left does about CEOs in the for profit sector get paid, they're strangely silent about those in the nonprofit/government funded sector.
FYI, a past president of Twin Cities Habitat, who earned low 6 figures, managed to score a second (simultaneous) full time gig as the CEO of the Metropolitan Council. I guess being a part of the leadership of non profit organizations is a pretty good gig if you can get one.
There is clearly something in the water up here that leads some people to be convinced that they can make huge money by "feeding the hungry".
