The Left is Incoherent

 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ice-arrests-ian-roberts-superintendent-iowa-des-moines-public-schools-rcna234013

So, this fine upstanding gentleman came to the US illegally, overstayed his Visa, did not have the proper documentation to work in the US, and had been charged with illegally possessing a gun.

Strangely enough, the ASPL is supporting him.   He's engaged in years of violating US law, lied on at least one job application, and  potentially lied about his CV, which doesn't seem to bother the ASPL.   Hell they don't even care about the illegal possession of a gun.

Ship him out immediately.

Aside from his place of origin, what part of his bio is actually true?

So, we have someone who appears to be, on the face of it, a very good man, a good neighbor, a hard worker, someone who is supported and appreciated by his community... a black man who provided a great role model in his high role in education... who, IF ANYTHING, committed a misdemeanor for not correctly entering the US. "Misdemeanoring" of good people just seeking to work and lead a good life for not entering the US "correctly" (IF he's even guilty of that) is a made-up misdeed. He's not a murderer. He's not a rapist. He's not guilty of slandering half the nation and formenting violence against them or of being a sexual predator and actual felon, like the pervert you VOTED for.

This is the problem with too many people... Making rational behavior, good behavior a misdemeanor NOT for committing harm, but for not following procedures correctly, even if it is for good, moral, helpful cause.

You all would criminalize a healer for healing on the Sabbath, wouldn't you?

Crimes should be that which cause harm, not just living a normal, decent life the best one can.

Apparently very little of his CV is actually accurate.

I'm shocked.

The only word in Dan's incoherent defense of this guy and his hiring that actually matters is "appears".

The problem is that what appeared to be True was actually false. What he claimed about himself, was all a lie. When one makes hiring decisions or defends criminals based on what "appears to be" rather than what is, you get an unqualified fraud running a school district.

That Dan chooses to ignore the reality about this guys crimes, not only did he overstay his visa, but he was also charged with gun crimes, voted illegally for years, and fucking lied on his resume. He literally committed fraud against the taxpayers of Iowa.

He wasn't a "healer". He was a liar, a fraud, and a charlatan.

He committed multiple crimes, he should not be given a pass for those crimes AND be rewarded with hi high paying job that he obtained through fraudulent means.

I could be wrong, but I can't see how lying on a job application, and a history of multiple crimes could be considered "normal and decent". Apparently Dan is now pro-lie, as long as it's not Trump.

This fine gentleman did the following, which I believe are crimes.

Violated US immigration laws by overstaying his visa.
He violated US immigration law by failing to follow his subsequent order of deportation.
He violated US law by not having the proper documentation to legally be employed in the US.
He violated US law by improperly possessing a gun.

Beyond that he was registered to vote for years, lied on his CV, and lied throughout multiple interview processes.

Dan is incoherently defending this guy. Which is gratifying to see him so willingly demonstrating the premise of my post.

I'm surprised Dan didn't whine about this guy's "right of 'self-determination'"! That would be fine if one is determining one's self legally.

Dan, being an open borders kinda girl, thinks being found guilty of a misdemeanor entitles one to be given a pass. But misdemeanors carry penalties, too, relative to the infraction. This one carries immediate deportation and a stern warning against future illegal entries.

Dan's thrilled this man is black, so he can pretend it's a racial thing.

Craig said...

Well, that would have increased the incoherence Dan is displaying for sure.

If this self determination thing works for jobs too, then I fail to see how Dan's job makes any sense. If all that is needed is determining what job you want, then I say cut out the middleman.

The problem is that the "misdemeanor" has been superseded or added to other subsequent crimes. Of course the notion that some misdemeanors should be ignored because the person who committed them was a nice guy, seems a bit odd. As does lionizing someone who is demonstrably not "normal and decent".

Incoherent.

Glenn, I appreciate you bringing facts and data to the party. Yet we both know that those things will not change Dan's hunch that this guy was the most qualified possible candidate for this fine school district and that his CV exaggerations and criminal charges amount to nothing because he was a "normal and decent" con man and criminal.

Yeh, for Dan truth and facts are meaningless--as with all LEFTISTs!

That would seem to be a reasonably accurate statement. For years we've been assured by people like Dan that Illegal aliens absolutely do not vote or receive things like Medicaid. Yet the DSM guy has been a registered voter for years, and the DFL is going to shut down the government over taxpayer funded health care for illegal aliens. Clearly Truth isn't a high priority.
