“When I heard the tragic news, I said, ‘I wonder who he was.’ And then all of a sudden, this overwhelming, this overwhelming sense of sorrow and kind of renewal.” “And I thought, I gotta learn about this guy. And the more I learned about him, I thought, this guy's a modern day Saint Paul. He was a missionary, he's an evangelist, he's a hero.” “He's one that knew what Jesus meant when he said, the truth will set you free. And to do it, Now, I understand he was pretty blunt and he was pretty direct. He didn't try to avoid any controversy. He didn't even try to avoid confrontation. The difference is the way, the mode, the style that he did it, always with respect.”

I think that this is a great point. Too many on the left seem to have this reverence for the "old media", they revere the MSM, and are convinced that they are right because SNL and other TV shows push their narrative. The reality seems to be that influencers actually have more reach and influence that the MSM, yet all too many simply dismiss them because they aren't publishing in the old media.

Strange that there wasn't much opposition to actual censorship back in the Biden Administration

Craig stupidly, falsely claimed...
Such a contrast to Dan, who's always angry about something.
Of course, this belies the reality of my life. I'm an exceedingly happy and hopeful man, living a great life in a beloved community, beloved by one another, beloved by God.
But there ARE times for anger. Something I'm sure Craig can agree with.
But let's look at my posts, for example, to see how often I'm angry ("always..."??) and how often I'm saying happy, positive stuff and when I am posting in a more strident, demanding tone, what has caused that.
In order from most recent:
ALL are welcome - a treatise espousing the beloved community and welcome as an antidote to anger and hatred. The opposite of "angry..."
War Criminals - a treatise that condemns the racists murderous enslaving traitors of the South and those who'd try to whitewash history and lift up slavers and traitors as role models. Anger about slavery and oppression? Yes. Justified? Yes.
Do you seriously disagree?
Happy Birthday Wendell Berry - celebrating the life and wisdom of an actual saint. Not angry.
Says who, parts 1 & 2 - a rational discussion talking about the logic of proving one's point and admitting when something is a subjective opinion. Not angry, just rational and sane.
The Crazy Marches On - a post condemning sexually assaulting children and covering up those who do it. Angry? Yes, about pedophilia and the great harm it causes. Reasonable? Of course.
Do you seriously want to disagree?
Harriet Tubman - celebrating the life and wisdom of one of our saints. Angry? No.
Biden and Cognitive Testing - making a rational and polite case for something like cognitive testing for our senior leaders. This is a tentatively offered opinion... as someone with many family members and loved ones who've experienced dementia in their elder years (and some, not so elder), this is to be treated gingerly and love and, first and foremost, consideration for the rights of and respect for our elders, but at the same time, recognizing the concern when it happens in our leaders. Angry? No.
A "different" gospel..." - a rational and respectful discourse on the human theory of Penal Substitutionary Atonement, and how it's literally not found in Jesus' sermons. Angry? No, just rationally and respectfully making my case.
And I could go on. I'm quite literally, quite generally an upbeat man living a beautiful and wonderful life where, at the same time, I have concern for the oppressed and marginalized. This is a good thing and sometimes, there is a time for anger at oppression and harm.
You probably can agree and just misspoke.
I'm sensing a trend here.
That he insists on characterizing his own work in the most flattering possible terms makes perfect sense as well. The manipulation of information to support a narrative, by excluding significant amounts of information from consideration. Let's limit our search for Dan being angry to only the last few posts at one blog. Let's ignore other blogs and social media, and lets ignore any and all comments on various blogs. Good plan.
That this is essentially unrelated to the actual topic of this post, is lost on Dan.
Dan, I apologize for one thing. I hyperbolicly (sp) used the word "always" with the assumption that it would not be taken in a wooden, literal manner. I clearly should have forgone hyperbole and instead used one of the following words "often"/"regularly"/"frequently". Please forgive my poor choice.
I've read those posts. There's certainly anger there, and hatred as well. But of course, Dan's anger and hate are ALWAYS righteous, are they not? And that's an appropriate use of the word "ALWAYS" in reference to Dan's behavior.
