Nothing Burger, With Everything (Updated)

I'll be honest, I simply don't understand the brouhaha over the AE/Sweeney ad campaign.  Over the last few years we've been inundated with ad campaigns featuring scantily clad, morbidly obese black women (and been told how healthy they were) or men cosplaying as women based on exaggerating stereotypical female traits, but this is the new NAZAism.  From what I can tell, Sweeney is an actress who's become reasonably popular over the last few years which may or may not be related to her willingness to be nude on film.  From what I've seen she's more attractive than beautiful, seems pleasant enough and fits the "girl next door" stereotype fairly well.  The fact that a struggling clothing brand hired her to make a commercial (where she's actually fully dressed) seems logical given her popularity.   I do find the idiocy of the ASPL to be hilarious in this case.  Instead of choosing to "coexist" or "live and let live" they choose to help AE by making their ad MORE prevalent that AE could expect.   I'm not someone who would ever shop at AE, but if I was or if I was shopping for someone else, this nothingburger of a controversy would absolutely send me through their doors.  It's almost like the ASPL sucks at this kind of thing.

Well, The Atlantic seems convinced that it is somehow wrong "for Americans to love boobs".  I could be wrong, but isn't the success of OF, many female content creators, and the ubiquity of porn evidence that America does in fact "love boobs"?   If I was a teenage boy watching this idiocy, I'd be convinced that conservatism was the political philosophy for me.

It's OK for Beyonce to do the whole cultural appropriation thing and do this for Levis, but bad for Sweeney to do the same thing?

This video is so insane that I can't help but wonder if it's staged.

Yeah, I'll take 2025 over 2023 any day.

Who knew that I'd be posting about boobs.

Well, sometimes ya just gotta!

Gotta what? Lose your mind with insane conspiracy theories about this ad advocating eugenics?

Imagine being stupid enough to love an organization founded with eugenics as it's express purpose, which actually kills thousands of black children regularly, while bitching that this jeans ad pushes eugenics.

I was referring to posting about boobs. It was a joke.

The bitching about this ad is just typical progressive race-baiting. They do it all the time and they're constantly seeking ways to accuse someone...anyone so long as that anyone is white...of racism.

I was responding to the response to the ad. That we now have idiots claiming that this is advocating eugenics while they blindly cheer for PP (founded by someone who was big in the eugenics movement, for eugenics) is somewhere between hilarious and appalling. Unfortunately, this has gone beyond merely racist.

It was never about racism, except anti-white racism. It was to stifle legitimate, logical, time-tested methods for improving one's own life which seem to be far too labor intensive for those whining about the plight of the black community. It's to criticize white people for daring to promote sound policy, rather than simply doling out bucks for those who have demonstrated a marked inability or unwillingness to be good stewards of that which they've been given.

What was never about racism? Eugenics?

This post is about the ASPL going batshit crazy over an ad campaign with an attractive white woman selling jeans, as opposed to a morbidly obese black woman twerking. Of course these idiots are racist, and determined to force their bullshit on others.
