It was a little surprising to hear the news that Ozzy Osborne died yesterday. We all knew he wasn't doing well, but I think that the suddenness was a surprise. I am genuinely happy that he got to experience one more opportunity to perform and celebrate his career a couple of weeks ago. So many musicians we've seen die over the past few years didn't get that one last opportunity to perform. I have to admit that I'm surprised at the number of Christians who are trying to convince themselves and others that Ozzy was a believer, based on some really random things. Don't get me wrong, I hope that he was, but I've never seen any indication that he had any sort of Christian faith at all. It's hard to believe that someone who's identity was the "prince of f#$%*&g darkness" was secretly a Christian, but I could be wrong.
In any case, I hope that his family is doing well. It's tough losing someone that suddenly.
